In this episode of Build Fighters Try, Sekai impersonates Ota and reminds us why the melee guy is melee.

Also I started watching Patlabor. The original OVA was really boring but this is much more fun.
The Sibyl HQ is in the region where the anime takes place in, I assume Sibyl has branches though throughout the world.
I like Psycho-Pass as an anime but I think the entire crime coefficient system is a bit silly, like who the fuck passed the thing to be put in place in the first place.
Man i'm pretty out of it, i thought scotty was talking about real life for a second.

No if that were the case they wouldn't need border drones.
My theory is that it just took place over time. It started off a simple stress monitor, then [sp]they slowly upgraded it's capacity to process people, by finding more brains[/sp]. It's stated that there is fake democracy in Japan because Sibyl's aptitude test determines who can get into politics.

Border drones?
Also yeah I guess. Maybe it started out as a way to standardize careers and then it slowly turned into what it is in the anime.
Border drones?
Yeah, [sp] during the riots they were short on manpower so they withdrew some military border drones from service and swapped them out for non-lethal weapons[/sp]
Watch Eureka Seven and AO.
Tons of good vibes from Eureka 7 due to a ton of calm character development in a lax, stylistic environment. It falters later when everyone steadily become super serious although those parts are necessary for good character development later on. I do miss a bit of the FLCL vibes of earlier episodes of Eureka Seven though. It only briefly returned with [sp]Renton running away[/sp] and meeting Charles and Ray arc and the soccer episode. Those episodes were like a breath fresh air.
AO is utterly devoid of any lax and doesn't give anyone sufficient character development at all. They've cut out almost all the slice-of-life parts (AKA the best parts of Eureka Seven) just to fit the story and the action. The main doesn't change much if not at all throughout against one of main themes of Eureka: change of the world around with the change of one's self. The primary plot device [sp]time traveling[/sp], not fully fleshed out conflicting interests between characters, and constant unsubstantiated tangents (example: Gazelle and Fleur character interaction, Elena's identity crisis, and so forth) are just few of the many things that made the story extremely convoluted. I also found that the way they handle justify Ao's existence in another universe [sp](not being able to live in areas with high trapar counts}[/sp] and [sp]sister's death[/sp] very ham-handed and not very Eureka-like. AO is aimless as hell and it bothers me throughout.
tl;dr
Eureka Seven is really good and I can't wait until a proper sequel retcons AO.
didn't psycho-pass s1 imply that japan was the only country with a working government left.

Not that I recognized anyway, the only thing that I recall is that they were the only country that didn't need to import food because of hyper oats, and because there wasn't any pressure on the outside world due to sanctions and stuff they could regulate their populace however they wanted.

The creators sure did a good job on it, I never knew a slice of life about policemen could be so entertaining.

well, I remember a line where [sp]somebody was shocked to hear that overseas servers for internet message boards still exist, Maybe I read too much into it but the way he reacts isn't "wow there's old style servers" it's "holy shit there are servers how is this possible"[/sp] (is this even a spoiler i don't even know, psycho pass episode 19)

you see i think that rather than japan being the only place with a functioning government, more that japan has deteached itself from the rest of the world after it became self sufficient. The reason that he said that when[sp]they connect to an oldstyle, non-censored board[/sp]is that under the system they live in, a police state dealy, is that communication like that was made illegal.

S3 when
S3 when

They need a lot more manga material, the first two seasons covered 90 chapters and the manga's just coming up on 125. They also need it to hit a point that they can use to end the season with in some way, right now it's in mid-story-stride. The manga is published biweekly, so we're looking at 4-6 months before the story's advanced enough at least.
