lol ffs
So I had my PS3 fixed for the day Gurren Lagann UE was supposed to come, and then Amazon happened and I didn't get it until last night. I abstained on watching anything, because me and my sister planned to watch it together, so fast forward to today.
Prepping to watch movie one. Put disc in PS3. Funny sounds. Nothing happens.
THE PS3 WILL NOT READ ANY DISCS
why
Gurren Lagann is the best tool for getting people into anime
You know, I think TTGL is good, but when I watched it I didn't go "this is the most awesome thing i've ever watched" or anything. Does that reaction come from not having any reference point for things? If you want too many grounded or unexciting things suddenly a spark of extreme liveliness will suddenly be the freshest air you've ever been fortunate enough to breathe? TTGL was just another entertaining anime to me.
Maybe it's because I watched Kill la Kill first. Maybe that drained some of the hype.

I dont' want to be that guy and be going "yes look at me i don't think thing is that great" or anything but it's like coming up to a concert and everybody is yelling and screaming and I'm here going "it's good but i don't feel like cheering or anything".

It is after all a 7 year old show, I imagine if you watched it at the time, or if you watch it as one of your first anime like I did, you'd have enjoyed it a lot more.
you probably watched it and then stopped watching when it went back to saten and gang
Also saten is just as much a miracle of the universe as アクセロリータ so its not like I'd have dropped the show right afterwards or anything
Is it possible to watch Railgun before Index or is that completely retarded?
[sp]I just want to hear Satomi Arai's raspy voice[/sp]

Yes, i've only watched railgun and not index.

Completely possible, but terrible.
Completely possible, but terrible.
arguably worth it for the sisters arc
Parasyte episode 3 was great.
Had no problems with the music too
arguably worth it for the sisters arc
no arc is worth the first season of railgun

Just watch it all? Honestly sparky gets more screentime in index than index does.
arguably worth it for the sisters arc
sister's arc is trash, silent party is superior and index ii is better than all of railgun
Battle Royale beats every other arc tbh
[editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
I really want to see it animated but at the same time don't want JC Staff to butcher it
what a dilemma

from what i've read of the LNs so far the adaptation seems like it's been pretty accurate
Are they going to make more Gintama episodes? Are they just waiting for the manga to get far ahead enough so they can make another season?
I'm impressed that it's still good after so many episodes/chapters.
There's gonna be a special for Jump Festa next month
what about traps in real life
3DPD, only works in my fancy vietnamese slideshows

I saw Kill la Kill first too so maybe that could explain why I more or less feel the same way about it.
oh fuck im early for school
go back to sleep so you can wake up late and run with a toast in your mouth
went on a manga spree these last 2 days
here's opinions:
Mao Marimo is really promising, sadly nobody has bothered scanlating it after chapter 7, which was 3 years ago.
Was expecting a light-hearted genderbender slice-of-life to read while waiting for new boku girl chapters, instead it surprised me with how heavy it is.
Instead of being about the hijinx of a guy who turned into a girl, it's actually mostly about the problems it has caused to his friends, especially his [sp]adoptive sister, who is in love with him and is confused about her feelings now that he's turned into a girl.
It really surprised me how well done that aspect is, having been used to the old "onii-chan~" harem brocon characters.[/sp]
Now if only some group finally picked it up.
Kyou no Go no Ni wasn't very good. Super generic slice of life about kids.
Don't mind the ecchi genre, even though both MAL and Batoto seem to think it is that I don't recall any ecchi elements in the manga.
Then again, I don't remember much else about it too, overall it's just forgettable. Chill to read but nothing noteworthy.
Bocchi na Bokura no Renai Jijou has been ok so far. Well, actually, it would've been okay so far, but the main guy annoys me.
He's so incredibly incompetent at everything, at least the main girl is relatable and I can understand her trains of thought fine, even being able to hang around the MC despite his garbage.
There's some really sweet stuff in there, but mostly it's just... eh.
Kyuusen no Shima is literally just a grindhouse b-horror movie in manga form.
It has all of what makes a grindhouse b-horror: it's garbage, it's fun, gratious nudity, blood, bullshit, bad plot, really bad horror, etc.
It's actually pretty enjoyable to read, even if just for the same reasons as a garbage b-horror.
Too bad the ending was absolute garbage, not that I really cared for the story or anything, but fucks sake at least TRY to give some proper closure.
And last but not least, Bonnouji. And when I say "not least", I mean it.
It's really easy to tell when a romance manga is made by a woman because of how well written and sweet the romance is and how likable all the characters are.
And also because it doesn't delay the confession for 50 chapters and then end once the main characters get together.
Really, I was reading most of this manga with a big grin on my face. It's just so sweet and nice and everyone is relatable and I feel everything just feels so nice.
No pointless plot, no pointless love triangles, no pointless delaying, it's straight to the point and it's fantastic.
Anyone here who likes romance manga but hasn't read this yet, I implore you to, I absolutely adored it.
