it's kinda the point of f/z to know what happens in the end, because it doesn't explain shit about the ending and if you haven't read f/sn you won't know what the hell is going on with angry manjew etc

If anyones hesitant about using their subs, they did a decent job with the Anohana movie so hopefully it's the same for Tamako
Tomino's good old [sp]death[/sp]previews though.
I have to vigilantly avoid the preview while watching Zeta Gundam, and the episode titles themselves are just as bad.
Classic plots such as [sp]MIRAI CAPTURED[/sp] or [sp]JERID'S SUICIDE ATTACK[/sp] always get me excited twenty hours before I even click play.

Next episode: Kabuto Kouji dies in magma!
I was unaware anyone who enjoyed Index 2 existed, cause holy god was that season a JC staff fuckup to the extreme
Well, it wasn't entirely terrible.
But the first three episodes were extremely terrible.

midori is on the wrong side though
Well, it wasn't entirely terrible.

Every time a Yumekui Merry episode had a fight scene. Index 2's episode for that week was a low budget piece of shit animated by interns.
Every time Index 2 had a fight scene, Yumekui Merry's episode was a slideshow
Not to mention the pacing was an absolute train wreck all the way through.
It managed to be okay at best, based on the story and アクセロリータ, but the good points of that season were completely in spite of JC Staff's handling of the show
-------psycho piss (just my shitty opinions on why the implementation of the sybil system would be relatively believable in japan which is why i find it fascinating)---------
[sp]
the Sybil system, or rather its form of government and not the system itself (the branes) is the ultimate extreme of japanese society imo
Reason 1: Crime/Security
japanese people are inherently law abiding (almost stupidly so)
lowest crime rate of all industrialized nations, 4th lowest homicide rate, with the 3 preceding it liechtenstein, monaco, singapore
seeing as crime rates tend to be higher in cities, for a country with two metropolitan areas (tokyo and kansai) accounting for 58 million people, thats pretty damn impressive
for example, if you've ever visited japan, you'll notice that almost no one jay walks, even if there are absolutely no cars on the road. no one really steals anything. you can leave your bag on your seat and walk away to find it still there. you can lose your wallet and find that someone's returned it to the police (myself, friends, family have experienced this personally).
then you have the fact that japanese people are inherently risk averse. if you grow up there, crime is something you don't really experience, and so people shy away from it. currently theres an issue where the police force, firefighters and the military are not getting enough recruits, because everyone wants to stay in their safety bubble and quietly go about their lives.
Reason 2: Social Structure/Identity
the cities are fucking clean, yet there are almost no public trash cans. people take trash home with them (unless they're piss drunk). people tend to think about others more than themselves (relative to the west). talking on the phone in trains is forbidden because it disturbs the people around you. no one blasts loud music in their rooms because it disturbs your neighbors. no one drops trash because it inconveniences whoever has to walk through there next. no one talks loudly in public because it's a nuisance to people around you.
these "social laws" really only work if EVERYONE follows them. and almost everyone does. "the nail that sticks out is hammered back in" is a phrase a lot of you have probably heard before about east asian cultures but it's fucking true. the individual is not stressed, it is the group. you act in a way that benefits the group. japanese people see this as social unity; the west sees this as social conformity.
you go with the crowd. if everyone does it, it is socially accepted. if you don't, you stick out like a sore thumb, you are an outcast and are treated as such. your existence disturbs the "social norm" that everyone around you is trying to maintain.
-----
Now, sybil system is the ultimate crime deterrent. despite the plot of psycho pass 1, we can reasonably assume that irregulars like makishima are incredibly rare. (remember that scene with someone getting murdered and people being like wtf is that and not understanding?) overall, for all its flaws, sybil guarantees absolute public safety. almost no one can hide from sybil; it is basically impossible. if you are a normal, law abiding citizen, your safety is unconditionally ensured. this is a big deal
the price you pay is loss of freedom. the sybil system is totally authoritative, with things like determining your career path and your best suited job. but there was a recent study on young college graduates on what kind of employee they want to be, and more people answered with (does a satisfactory job) than (goes beyond expectations of the job). its said that people nowadays have somewhat lost their ambition and personal drive. a system that automatically places you in your best fit job might even be welcomed by some.
so to put it really simply you are giving up freedoms for absolute security (this includes job security). this is what i mean by social extreme of the current, actual japanese society. in japan, you give up a little bit of your individual freedom for the sake of the group, and by doing so, ensuring your "social security". it works because japanese people do as they are told; no one rebels because everyone abides by these social and criminal laws and by doing so maintains this social structure. its not a far stretch to see how sybil could be an extreme take of this system. if everyone keeps their head down and follow the rules, the entire society benefits from being able to live in complete safety

ur wish is my command bae
That's a really good read. I had no clue Japanese people were like that, although that is not a necessarily a bad thing. I think it's pretty good actually. Also I like that almost no one jaywalks, cause in Europe it seems that everyone just jaywalks it's annoying. :v:
Guys my brother is watching dubbed Haruhi what the fuck should i do.

Give him an example of Sugita's voice.
If he still decides to go on watching the dub after hearing the one-man equivalent of an angelic choir, off him.
I'm pretty sure he's dyslexic though so he can't read subs well or some shit.
Guys my brother is watching dubbed Haruhi what the fuck should i do.
it's time to put him down
throttle/load his connection so it constantly skips and pauses
alternatively, make him watch you shit in a cup and then use a sharpie and write "dubbed" on the cup
then get another cup and pour soda into it, and label it "subbed"
[editline]24th October 2014[/editline]
that'll get the message across
If I recall, the dub for Haruhi is actually passable (as far as dubs go), but the original voices are just too good. The question is whether you want to properly watch KyoAni visuals but get a worse performance or listen to the great Japanese cast but have to focus on the bottom half of the screen.
Or he could just learn Japanese and ascend (or descend) to a new level of anime fandom.

mmm ~rosetta stone~
If I recall, the dub for Haruhi is actually passable (as far as dubs go)
Nah, not really. Crispin Freeman as Kyon is the only good part of the dub. All of the girls sound awful.
Imagine sucking at reading enough that you don't automatically phase out the process of paying conscious attention to the subs, thus allowing you to read the subs without losing your focus on the visuals.
mmm ~rosetta stone~
Is it good tho?
I´ve heard some good things from a friend of mine and i´m still not sure if i should use it.

Nobody could possibly sound worse than Mikuru's original voice.

Her English voice is nearly there. Nearly.

Rosetta Stone is ok for languages like French and German
for Japanese? hell no
Rosetta stone is fucking shit and i'd be disappointed if any of you contributed to it.
I went into my brother to plead my case. Here's were things went wrong. Firstly, he argued that he was already used to the narrators voice, and he liked it, secondly, he argued that the fact that the dubs voice acting being inferior didn't matter, since the VA apparently doesn't have a large bearing on the anime, and lastly, he called me pretentious and said that anime isn't really about emotion and shit anyway. I'm so mad. Then he yelled at me until i left. Fucking 15 year olds. Why can't i have an anime outoto who looks up to me and shit.
[editline]25th October 2014[/editline]
I'm hoping he just completely loses his shit over [sp]endless eight.[/sp]
Atleast you don´t have 2 younger female shitheads with one of them screaming every day.
I don't have a little sister, but i've often wondered what's better.
read them aloud for him
