You need to hire a true General Autismo to QC, it's what we did. He may complain about the original art all the time but every once in a while he'll find something you missed. Sorry zombii but your autism game isn't strong enough.

one of the many jobs of a cleaner is to, you know, clean the raws
which involves making sure the gutter is free of clutter
the levels seem to be fine across all of the pages i checked so that's p cool although it might be over-leveled on a few pages which brings about some aliasing
also is there a reason why pages 000->002 are 2x resolution?
most of the pages aren't actually rotated properly either; this happens on page: 003, 006, 021, 023, 024, etc.

Is doing a good job of getting good scans hard? Because if it's not too bad I could see about maybe importing it and doing it myself if the raws really weren't great.

it generally requires carefully removing the staples from the binding (if any are holding it together) and using a heat source (like an iron) to relax the adhesive of the glue binding the pages so you can separate them to scan them properly. it's not incredibly difficult, but if you mess up you're out a copy of the manga. well not really out of one it still exists but if you use too much heat you'll obviously cause damage to the pages. it's still pretty easy to clean slight burn marks out but you might not want your physical copy ruined.
and this means you can't really put it back together so you're stuck with storing it separately as pages in a clear sleeve or anything similar

But in all seriousness Hi No Tori is considered Tezuka's greatest work (my personal favorite work of his is Ayako), so i'm just interested to see how good it really is.
Speaking of Tezuka stuff, it's painful to have the 2000s Astro Boy/Tetsuwan Atom anime be unsubbed. I really, really want to watch that show but the only option is the dub that changes Atom/Astro's personality in some scenes and is, well, a dub.

Mfw I did the levels with a macro then blasted through cleaning speechbubbles and clone tool for all the pages in 2 hours
Also 000->002 aren't meant to be that big, I upscaled all the raws for editing and the final ones should be scaled back down
Looks like theres stuff to do for a possible future v2
Also fixing page rotation is fucking hitler surely there must be some way of automating it with imagemagick or something
