yeah im going to go through all the trouble of getting spotify, paying for it, finding all my music on it and creating my playlists again in worse sound quality just so i can do what i did with my normal media player anyway brilliant A++

oh right sorry i forgot that a 128kbps mp3 has better sound quality than a 750kbps FLAC right sorry
and i can do all of those without using spotify, i have literally 0 reason to switch to spotify and a couple reasons why not to
if I'm going to support artists I'm going to buy CDs and go see their concerts when they tour
plus not everyone I listen to is on Spotify

320kbps mp3 has the same hearable quality as 750kbps FLAC.
Similar to how a Quality 12 JPEG is actually compressed, but the individual pixels are left untouched, meaning there is no visible difference despite technically having been compressed and clustered.
The difference is noticable if you want to edit it after compression, but just using it as is is unproblematic.

guess what i have an expensive pair of headphones and an expensive pair of speakers and also have listened to music all my life

The difference isn't [I]really[/I] there, yes, information has been lost, yes it is compressed, but actually, it's still really much the same.
Not completely, there is obviously some more clarity in the FLAC if you have the equipment for it, but tens of megabytes worth of difference? Eeeh.

Yes, it's consistent, you select the bitrate in the settings.

No, listen to FLAC all you want. If you believe there is a huge difference then good for you.
But I know from experience that the difference isn't huge enough to warrant any real mention. But of course for an audiophile like you the tiniest differences are obviously the most important.
