no. but i am now
nice
This is bullshit, you guys shouldn't be allowed to have a multi-page argument with dgg over a show I haven't watched.
Shin Sekai Yori, or Psycho-Pass 2? If the former, fix that shit asap if the latter, eh, fix if you feel like it
I'm two episodes into Pyscho-Pass season 1, I'm going to hurry up if I want to get in on this argument. I highly doubt I'll watch season 2, season 1 is probably conclusive enough on its own. [editline]3rd November 2014[/editline] I'd watch Shinsekai Yori but I only have enough room on my monitor for twelve episodes at once. [editline]3rd November 2014[/editline] Besides, as far as I can tell you both agree that Psycho-Pass 2 is stupid, you just differ on why it's stupid.
In S2 we have [sp]a group of civilians locked inside with an officer they can't reach and they shoot blindly into the goddamn thing (as the fucking thing is opening up again, allowing them to get visuals instead of blindshooting) and just shoot the civilians, not even questioning the reason for their psycho-pass rating, unwilling to figure out what went on in there. They don't even give a fuck that they have an officer in there, or react to the fact that there are actually nobody in there without a clouded hue meaning something really bad must be going on since even their own goddamn officer is clouded. Their psycho-pass was clearly clouded from the stress levels which they themselves ignored doing anything about, and then they just shoot them despite knowing that they are just civilians that were put in a bad situation that caused the cloudiness.[/sp] It's stupid because it ignores every critical piece of thought any human being could have, and we have for fucking sure seen in season 1 that the officers are human beings that know how to asses a situation before jumping to rash conclusions, and even more so, keep their cool and not panick, so acting on emotions rather than reason is certainly unfit. I think it's equally stupid of you to accept any and all actions they do because "Sibyl told them so", that is exactly the scapegoat mechanic they are trying to abuse. They aren't applying human emotions or thought to the characters because they are so focused on forcing the story down your throat. Psycho-Pass was great because there was a constant struggle between "the right thing" and"what Sibyl said was the right thing", and neither side was painted as neither good nor bad. S2 tries to just paint Sibyl as a bad overlord that shouldn't exist and fuck anyone for listening to it, our future shouldn't be like that, wake up sheeple. It's seriously just shitting all over S1.
From the very first episode of Psycho-Pass Tsunemori has always been the voice of reason and she even had to shoot Kougami in the very first episode because he wanted to kill the victim, I don't know what you're talking about. It's not hard to understand why people in the series would rely on Sibyl over their own second doubts. I accept the actions because I don't know what the remaining 7 episodes are about. The first half of S1 was more typical criminal investigation and then it started ramping up.
Why is Haruhi not Science Fiction again? It's a mix of Sci-Fi and Supernatural.
How did I miss Log Horizon 2 starting :suicide:
So I have a friend who's only seen Eva, has rewatched it several times, and refuses to watch any other anime. I managed to convince him to try out Madoka and he's hooked. I consider this a victory.
oh my I have been watching a lot of Tokyo Ghoul and I fucking love it. I need the uncensored version very badly though.
I already bolded that. lol
Oh sorry, i somehow missed it from the list. Then change it to Log horizon and the thing about "having s2 to watch because it's airing now" won't change.
oh my I have been watching a lot of Tokyo Ghoul and I fucking love it. I need the uncensored version very badly though.
Enjoy it while it last.
Why is Haruhi not Science Fiction again? It's a mix of Sci-Fi and Supernatural.
There's a psychic, a robot, a time traveler, and Kyon on the main cast besides Haruhi. Time travel and reality warping are regular parts of the plot. I don't know why you would ever get the idea that it has sci-fi elements to it.
boku girl chapter 40 LiveTL is here! i didn't actually expect much to happen this chapter, but i'm glad i was wrong from the few pages of chapter 41 posted in that thread i can see that some shit is going to go down real hard i'm hyped
In this world, when you face forward, that's the future. When you look back, it's a memory. And if you clip a part of it out, that becomes a story.
Grisaia had some nice lines in ep5. I don't usually like this kind of "deep" crap, but this time is exception. I never played VN so it's kind of annoying that everyone keeps talking about it and compare it to anime. I'm simply trying to enjoy it as it is and see no problem with understanding stuff so far.
I'm just waiting for dgg to judge the fuck out of me for my terminally shit taste when he gets to my votes.

Like the [sp]skipped open coffin scene, which I think was one of the most memorable scenes from her route[/sp]
I still desire to know what the hell that Violet Ever Garden thing is about.
I'm just waiting for dgg to judge the fuck out of me for my terminally shit taste when he gets to my votes.
He's taking an assload of time. I'd offer to help but for some reason i feel as though i'd probably make things slower.
I agree with dgg. Psycho-pass 2 isn't technically going against the themes and ideas of the first season, they're just presenting them in the most ham-fisted way possible. As a result, the show seems like it was written by a teenager that watched the show and thought it knew what it was about but lacks the nuance and humanity when trying to reiterate it's core themes. It's no longer, "sybyl is evil but is it a necessary or desirable evil? (sybyl is imperfect)" but, [sp]sybyl is evil, let's blow apart civilians because we can't tell the difference between victims and perpetrators (sybyl is useless)[/sp]
oh my I have been watching a lot of Tokyo Ghoul and I fucking love it. I need the uncensored version very badly though.
There is no uncensored version. Even the BDs are censored.
There is no uncensored version. Even the BDs are censored.
http://imgur.com/a/tvt2r (ep 1 to 3 spoilers i guess) Most parts were uncensored in the BD release from the looks of it. There's 2 pictures with some black circles but the rest is uncensored. However some of the part that were censored really confuse me. [t]http://i.imgur.com/m0pDC7t.png[/t] Better censor his eye i guess?
Did you guys forget to recommend him to watch sasuga onii-sama?
I'm so glad Parasyte isn't censored, and it has a nice soundtrack so it's a double win. Pity they used CG crowds though.
Anyone here read Qualia the Purple? It's gotten pretty insane the last few chapters.
Most parts were uncensored in the BD release from the looks of it.
Most but not all, thereby does not count as an uncensored release. It's just less censored.
Anyone able to give insight into Gugure! Kokkuri-san? I'm hoping it's chill comedy shounen but I've not heard anyone talk about it at all.

Not sure if i would call it chill tho because some of the comedy is pretty dark.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/0O0tckm.jpg[/t]
Are we doing these? I've got a whole lot of them from /a/ threads. Today I briefly talked with the guy who set Rikka as his profile picture on FB. He said he's glad that there actually is someone else who watches anime. Even though it doesn't seem that he has seen much yet, I told him that he's already past the point of no return.
Grisaia had some nice lines in ep5. I don't usually like this kind of "deep" crap, but this time is exception. People talk about how bad some adaptations are compared to their originals so people who haven't experienced the original know that if they were interested in the adaptation, they can go to the source and enjoy it much more. Sure, some adaptations on their own are alright if you know nothing of the story it's based off of, but it's almost always worth it to check out the manga/light novel/visual novel if you enjoyed the anime even just a little. [editline]3rd November 2014[/editline] Also the issue with the Grisaia anime is how rushed it feels. Only 5 episodes in and the sense of time is completely fucked up because so much shit has happened but it feels like Yuuji has only been at the school for like a week.
