i didnt know there was an OP
Does anyone even read the OP
I did in my first time here. Hell, I even sometimes go back to the OP to help decide a title from my backlog.

Speaking of TTGL, I might be a minority here, but Yoko's actually my favorite character in the show. Yeah, she's more or less a fanservice vessel, but she does definitely have her own character development outside of LOOK AT ALL OF MY SKIN
I feel that I should notify you that down at Patlabor you've miscounted your votes. You have Empty_Shadow and Leo the Leo, but you have Patlabor marked down as just one vote when it should be two. [editline]5th November 2014[/editline] That could be intentional seeing how Empty_Shadow also has it in 20th Century. Care to explain?
Thanks, problems with the votes happens all the time, Google docs seems to have a problem with copy pasting at times, not registering the copy, giving server errors and whatnot, so sometimes the wrong things get in there, stuff gets overwritten, and if it happened more than I noticed when undoing it could stay there for a while. I straighten up problems as I go and I intend to go through the whole spreadsheet when I've tallyed up everyone and check that everyones votes are present and properly counted up. [editline]4th November 2014[/editline]
Does anyone even read the OP
Yes, mostly visitors. Regulars when there is a new thread and they have to complain about it taking ages to load. [editline]4th November 2014[/editline] hehehahahhihi Recommending Nisekoi, now that's comedy.
dgg, I am having to argue furiously like this because nobody else is stupid enough to get into an extended argument with you. This is a testament to how stupid arguing with you is, everybody cannot be fucked dealing with you. [editline]5th November 2014[/editline] I'm glad I have this avatar, it's basically a fairly accurate representation of my expression whenever I look at dgg's posts.
you've both been typing a lot of words but saying absolutely nothing other than "i'm right you're wrong" for the past few pages. pretty similar to your "supernatural is supernatural because supernatural creatures" definition. A large majority of your posts is also "goddamn it dgg" (like the one i'm replying to atm!!) instead of providing anything useful to the conversation. i've mostly been staying out of it because i've already said enough about everything else so far, and i wanted to see if you would settle it on your own. you're both arguing two different points as well which is hilarious. you're hopped up on the semantics of it being called the "competitive" category. On how something should only go into the "competitive" category if someone specifically adored it because of how "competitive" it was. sportsdrama (what pingpong is) is a subcategory of drama. dgg knows this, everyone should know this by now if they read at least one of any of these posts. However because we have the "competetive" category, which houses sportsdocumentary+sportsdrama+competition+etc, it's more appropriate for it to go into that category. Can it go into the drama category? Yea, if we didn't have competitive; but we do, so it's goes there. "competitive" is just a name, and we may as well call it "dumb game drama shit" genre if it really bothers you that much chill out and stop being chunkymonkey tia
Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara :suicide:
There is a real-time update on the results at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgdYRqGwIvawdFFIXzkxcTBoNmNIdmNsZVd6RXl3Mnc&usp=drive_web#gid=0.
Not sure if you made note of this already, but: Under 20th Century, Hakita's vote for Hokuto no Ken is listed separately from mine and Rahkshi's. Under Fantasy, Escaflowne is listed twice. I used the English title (The Vision of Escaflowne) and Die_Hard used the Japanese title (Tenkuu no Escaflowne)
I've concluded from this argument that dgg is a Vogon and that's why he can't be held to the same logical coherency standards as a human being. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy anime when. Gonna get another episode of Akatsuki no Yona down tomorrow, the show has been slow-paced but pretty good so far. Anybody else watching it?
yes I am watching it, I can't get over how annoying the feMC's voice is though.
can dgg and reds get their own thread to argue their bullshit in.
Not sure if you made note of this already, but: Under 20th Century, Hakita's vote for Hokuto no Ken is listed separately from mine and Rahkshi's. So when I scan over the entries I can't see the show there (especially when none of the words are the same) and I add it again. Stuff like Hokuto no Ken is simply just missing it when looking for it. I have considered next time to maybe just throw in all votes in the spreadsheet, then sort by MAL link and then combine them afterwards, or simply highlight them and sum them up in a different table. Might save time.
serial experiments lain is intersting so far, it's just quite taxing to watch. It's like drive in a way.
Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara :suicide:
It's not even exactly bad technically speaking. It's just so weird. I thought nothing could top the first episode of that room invasion thing but I was wrong.
Does anyone even read the OP
I actually use it quite a bit. I have an absolutely massive backlog and when I'm deliberating on what to watch I sometimes check to see what the OP has featured to help settle it.
It's not even exactly bad technically speaking. It's just so weird. I thought nothing could top the first episode of that room invasion thing but I was wrong.
I dunno man i thought it was pretty fucking awful.
been a while (i think) since the last post your collection so... two shelves aren't enough, and i dont really have the room to move stuff elsewhere [t]http://i.imgur.com/vGdUXQk.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/zSFbR8v.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/BvajeaB.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/x8VFOxc.jpg[/t] avatars and wallpapers [t]http://i.imgur.com/5vxKaTx.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/dYZpo0s.png[/t]
Who else has seen Zipang btw? It's basically The Final Countdown - anime version.
I remember someone posted a picture of a baby in a box kind of thing. Box was on the knees of someone sitting in a car. Can someone repost image and maybe also tell me where it was from?
It's hilarious how "affinities" in Twintail is a codeword for fetishes.
Romance 3. Love Hina (eat dicks dgg, Naru is very much the focus from halfway into the series through the specials and OVA)
It is a harem comedy show, of course it would fit under romance, where else, besides comedy? I think you are the one in need of a portion of dicks. Besides calmly laughing inside at the thought of recommending Love Hina for the romance (or recommending at all, outside entry level) I won't object to this decision.
It's not even exactly bad technically speaking. It's just so weird. I thought nothing could top the first episode of that room invasion thing but I was wrong.
No it was bad.

Kidd Hamatora is labeled as a mystery drama rather than a thriller. However personally I'd say a mystery drama falls much under what a thriller is, I'd just like some arguments from you or anyone else that have seen it that can back up it's place as a thriller. Or of course have you withdraw or replace that vote with a different one if you agree that it is more of a drama than it really is a thriller.
[t]http://a.pomf.se/etnhpz.Png[/t] Twintails are love. Twintails are life. EDIT: Holy shit Twintails you continue to be amazing in what you do. (I'm now on ep 3) Please stay like this till the end.
Baccano.
predominantly (>= 2*): action partially (<= 1.5*): thriller/supernatural there is no end goal to overcome, and there isn't really a main villain [sp]the main "villain" portion was that one guy trying to make more immortal people but that's about it. i guess that "kid" being borderline psychotic and trying to eat everybody else but that ends quickly enough. the only real suspense is on the train, which predominantly comes from being an action scene. and their immortality makes a large portion of the story once you find it out, but it's not until way later on that you find out about it so a majority of the story is just action & minor thriller[/sp] the narrative structure of the story makes it pretty hard to be a thriller, but it has a few thriller elements

I wouldn't necessarily label it as a thriller, and I understand why it hasn't, but on the other hand it has a lot of thriller elements in it. Likewise since we are just following a bunch of different characters and their respective stories and see them collide together it's not really so much of a drama as it is an adventure as it is labeled as. The characters interact with eachother mostly violently through conflicts with focus on the action. There is no overbearing dramatic story, nor several small dramatic stories being told, but that is not to say the drama is not present in general.
