Well the thing is that you mostly just told me about the non-thriller part, and for the thriller you just went "and then it became thriller". You were mostly just talking about the adventure and drama, and then some on the mystery (and mystery certainly overlaps into thriller) but then hardly anything on what made it a thriller except "twists happens".
That is a pretty creepy place to put an Elmo statue and some weird bells.

When did Shinsekai Yori become the new Clannad anyways? Drama, Supernatural, Fantasy, Thriller, Psychological and Science Fiction.
Can I point out that The Aussie went as far as voting for it in Drama, Psychological, Science Fiction and Supernatural as if he found it to excel in all of those things at the same time? I have problems believing it executed all 4 of those things at the same time so well it beats everything else. I understand voting for the same show in 2 different categories, but 4? Really? Is it really being voted for because you think it's really good for that classification it belongs to, or are you simply voting for it in those classifcations becuase you think it's a great show?
I haven't seen it myself so it might very well be just that fucking good, but I just find it hard to believe.

I'd say it solidly fits under Scifi, Thriller and Supernatural.
Secondarily it fits under Drama, but drama is hard to specifically pin down so I dunno.
But yeah, it actually does hit the nail on the head for fucking everything.
Oh and to prove we're not fanboying it, the romance in SSY is fucking terrible [sp]and not just because half of it is gay. It's just straight up not very well executed, though it does have plot and setting relevance, all the romantic subplot in the first half is both irrelevant and not that interesting.[/sp]
EDIT: thinking about it, I wouldn't say psychological is a focus, but there's a good amount of it in there. Like there's a heavy element of [sp]human mental conditioning[/sp] but at the same time it's not really the focus as much as it is in other shows. Ehh I dunno how to put it in words.
I guess one way of putting it is in other shows with psychological elements, the psychological elements drive the plot, whereas in SSY they are more a part of the setting and backstory than the actual shows plot [sp]which is focussed on squealer's rise and fall[/sp]

hell, romance is even more of a fit than scifi is
i'm still not sure exactly what the psychological category is but under what my current definition of what i believe it is i would also disagree with it. There's virtually no inner monologues aside from narration, and although there's character growth throughout the story we never really know what the characters are thinking.
drama is so broad that pretty much everything fits into it
it's supernatural/thriller and that's about it.

I think 1-2 people out of 25 has said anything negative about Fate/Zero here. The first half was better than the second half IMO, but it's a great show, at worst it's an 8/10 in my book.
