I thought the music in Nanatsu sounded awfully similar to a few other shows, turns out Sawano Hiroyuki was behind the OST. I can't believe it took me 5 eps to figure that out since his OSTs tend to have the same vibe from one series to another. Not that that's a bad thing because his music can be good sometimes.

I guess one way of putting it is in other shows with psychological elements, the psychological elements drive the plot, whereas in SSY they are more a part of the setting and backstory than the actual shows plot [sp]which is focussed on squealer's rise and fall[/sp][/QUOTE]

Like with Die_Hard I really like the thought process applied to this nomination, but it falls short on the fact that the "competitive" element is only limited to friendly rivalry amongst friends. It's just childs play, no actual competition is happening. Struggle for survival would be a better way to put it, which boils down to either being in or being out. The scoring ranks are just indicators on how close you are to losing your job, there is nothing to gain from being 1 other than feeling secure and proud.
So you'll have to change that vote for something else or withdraw it.

Finished this.
I patiently waited for it to get bad like you guys said, but it never did. In fact, I liked it, if with a few complaints.
My main complaints about it are:
1. It's unclear if [sp]Choujirou was something real, or another product of Yura's vivid imagination. In fact, the Choujirou plot really went nowhere.[/sp]
2. Characters apart from Yura didn't have much, well, character to them.
3. The ending has Yura with long hair and she looks so much better with short hair. The proper ending appeared in that exact same episode too.
Overall it was a nice [sp]deconstruction of your normal coming-of-age story, but I wonder how it would've worked with a dark ending[/sp]

Holy shit, this sucks so much. There's no way I would see that coming. In fact, I'm shocked how little effects all the events seemed to have, particularly when it comes to the further future.
Well, I finished Noein. For a show about alternate dimensions and time travel it was pretty straightforward and not very confusing. It took too long to explain a few basic things though.
There were a few weak parts, like when they clearly didn't know what to do with a character after a certain point and resolved them in the laziest way possible, but it answered nearly all of the questions raised, resolved its plots just fine, and apart from a few "it works like this just because" rather than properly explaining a couple of things, it was resolved satisfactorily.
Really good sci-fi show. I didn't watch it for the action but if you want action you won't be disappointed there either.
