The only recent anime I'm aware of that ever even came close to 100k sales was Bakemonogatari(Around 80k) and some Gundam anime (Around 90k).
Everything in the F/SN anime feels so obvious and blatant somehow. Am I imagining things?

They said it would likely happen anyway so I guess the 100k is just a throwaway number to tide people over until news comes out about the next season.

The number may be the total combined sales of both bd boxes, and since f/z sold around 50k per box it wouldn't be too unlikely for ubw to sell that much

apparently it's covering 10+ hour routes in 1 to 2 episodes, while butchering the original stories so they're barely the same.

Half (if not more) of the common route entirely unadapted, Michiru's whole route shoved into two episodes, Yumiko's route butchered into a single episode, remaining episode count means that adapting the only route that could make any change would still be terrible with the best case amount of episodes to it.
Also yeah stuff that's meant to be subtle or revealed over time has been absolutely ruined by appearing and being solved within 5 minutes
