Just watched Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Rather confused by the design choices for some characters (Mainly Blood C-kun, [i]that fucking coat[/i] and[sp]top of all tiers Kirishima being demoted to[/sp]comicbear), but otherwise all good. [/QUOTE] pls read the manga The anime is baaaaaaaad other than the whole CGI gimmick, the character designs get thrown out the window (jesus christ Gunzou's [I]face[/I]) and the story just goes in the absolute worst direction it could have taken. Meanwhile the mango has an actually decent looking Gunzou (I still can't get over his [I][B]FACE[/B][/I] in the anime), a much less moeblob Haruna (the [SP]manor scene[/SP] is entirely different) and best of all, it's still going and [SP]Kongou hasn't had her meltdown quite yet[/SP]

Unless Sakaki is putting the 11th (and assumedly final) LN volume out in December (a 2-3 month gap from the previous in September, which is one of the shortest gaps between any of the volumes) I'm still not exactly sure about how that is going to work.

finished Samurai Champloo ending was kinda weird and not very satisfying but solid 9 otherwise

There really should've been an episode bridging I-401s appearance and the present day. At what point did the story splinter off into anime original land?

After watching the new psycho-pass 2 I realized how much better this show would be if it was its own show and had nothing to do with psycho-pass. It just feels really fucking off as a continuation.

At what point did the story splinter off into anime original land?[/QUOTE] Pretty much from the beginning, but it started going way off after the [SP]Haruna and Kirishima get sunk, some bits from that point on are identical to the mango, but then when the manor gets rekt it just fucks off into anime original land.[/SP] The 401 crew get a lot more backstory in the manga, the whole 401 thing is still much of a ~mystery~ but that's part of the intrigue. A lot of the scenes are better in the manga too, although I must admit it lacks [SP]something as emotional as the Takao bit in the anime[/SP]
