Oh man I just watch episode 6 of Grisaia and I can't stop laughing, this is great.
it was literally nothing like the route of the visual novel they're not even trying.
I might try to watch Winter Sonata sometime, I remember when I watched episode 0 it was really weird due to it being Korean
the opening is nice though

ffs watch the real thing
I've never actually played a VN before - would Steins;Gate be a good place to start?
You aren't allowed to start with good VNs, you have to start with some two hundred hour long piece of garbage with twenty romantic routes with every girl being a cardboard cutout of some generic archetype, with art that looks like it was drawn by a twelve year old on Deviantart.
Steins;Gate is a pretty good place to start, yeah.
I wanted to ask but forgot,
How do I check on MAL what everyone is rating for a specific anime? I've seen some people post pics o a list of FA'ers ratings for an anime.
I want to see how many people are watching Cool Tribe Crew. :v:

you have to add everyone to friends on mal and then click "stats" when you're on a mal page
for example: http://myanimelist.net/anime/2167/Clannad/stats

I have to finish the S;G VN still, i pre-ordered the collectors edition forever ago and I am only like 3 hours in. After watching the anime 3 times and the movie twice I am just kind of steins;gated out though there is a lot of stuff in the VN that isn't in the anime that is plenty interesting and I really should get to finishing it.

I've played the vn twice through all routes and watched the anime twice, the vn is much better.
I really enjoyed the visual novel, G-Senjou no Maou. Would definitely recommend that.
Speaking of visual novels, Overdrive is still great.
Plowing through Edelweiss right now, recently finished Chou Dengeki Stryker. Both are great, Overdrive is great.
Kira Kira I'll get back to eventually too. Might start Deardrops before it, though. I don't know yet.

That main character is a little irritating with his obnoxiously superior attitude, but otherwise it's a really good read if you're looking for a drama/mystery.
Also the main heroine looks like a reject from The Grudge

even if it was, I don't read weeb bait!
srsly tho go read (Chou) Dengeki Stryker. One of the most (if not most) recent and also one of the best VNs they've made. Edelweiss is great too, but yeah.
I've started 2 VNs and I still can't get to finish them, I just can't find time and motivation to do that. Novels are Chaos;Head and Fate.
Fate what?

I can understand not getting into Chaos;Head, Takumi's such an unlikeable prick at first.
Stay night obviously.

Hiroyuki Yoshino really did a great job at his voice acting, he sounds so absolutely pathetic it's seeping through the earphones.
How does everybody feel about amagi park?
I think it's good
It's good enough to watch but right now it hasn't been amazing.

One of the better Kyoani shows for the last year since the other ones were Chuubidoo S2 and Free.
G-Reco is FINALLY out, get it while it's hot.

I really want to play the second route of chaos;head that I never finished but you have to finish the game to unlock it, and this isn't the harddrive I had when I did it years ago so I'd have to play the first route again, and Takumi is so unlikeable in the early game I don't know if I can make it.
maybe once I finish Grisaia I'll get back to finishing vn's I stalled out on.
but otherwise it's a really good read if you're looking for a drama/mystery.
For the most part it is if you ignore the side routes, otherwise it has some pretty big internal inconsistencies (mainly concerning [sp]Maou's identity and the handling of his character.[/sp])
Psycho-Pass S2 ep 5 wasn't as bad as it sounded.
They did go over the whole [sp]"kill all the victims running out"[/sp] thing a bit. They didn't mention [sp]any punishments for the inspectors or enforcers in Division 3[/sp], but this IS Sibyl we're talking about. And they did make [sp]Division 3 seem like a bunch of assholes in this episode. I noticed they even gave one of the inspectors those goddamn "Gamer Glasses", although that may be unintentional.[/sp]
Of course, there's still problems, like how even if it IS Sibyl, there should still be [sp]at least SOME punishment or something.[/sp]
And the [sp]robot drones being controlled by an iPhone game[/sp] is sort of ridiculous, but hopefully it turns out that [sp]it's one of Kamui's allies that programmed it, rather than him being a transplant surgeon AND a hacker and game programmer.[/sp]
Honestly, the biggest part that's bugging me about that is [sp]how the environment in-game is somewhat different from real life. How would you make the map have random changes without it just completely ignoring the environment at some point?[/sp]
It's gotten somewhat better from episode 4, but it's not completely back.
It'll never hold up to season 1, of course.
Oh man, this week's Twintails was great. [sp]So we have a masochistic exhibitionist Seitou Kaichou who gets big titties that shoot missiles when she transforms, whop seems to have a servant-master complex with our MC, and doesn't appear to care whether MC is a guy or a loli at the time. Also tentacles.[/sp]
