also psycho-pass 2 isn't even bad, not as good/different from the first series for sure but i'm still waiting to see if the payoff is worth it as they're foreshadowing a ton

Being you must be suffering if you're this critical, holy shit. Parasyte manga spoilers [sp]the "shounen revenge plot" is gonna end in like, 2 episodes with this pace, Shin has a brief moment where he thinks he's less human but he gets over it and it wasn't hamfisted at all though with how critical you are you'll probably say it is. also this ain't a shounen yo it's seinen.[/sp]
maybe this isn't the kind of show for you, because it's main selling point is taking a lot of shounen tropes and playing them a lot more realistically and subtly to make a very well crafted action horror story, it's not ever gonna be fuckin citizen kane.
So about Yuuki Yuuna [sp]I think Yuuna's loss of taste is far worse than people make it out to be. Remember Log Horizon S1, when all people could eat was conjured food that tasted like cardboard? They all got horribly depressed and demoralized. Then remember how crazy they all went when someone invented real food? Imagine, looking at your favourite dish, one you remember being so delicious, and then putting it in your mouth anticipating that flavour and... Nothing. It doesn't taste like anything. After a while, I'd expect someone to get incredibly depressed, possibly to the point of suicide, over not being able to taste anything. Yuuna even said "It's like only being half-alive."[/sp]
