But while I was looking it up to describe it to my sister, I learned that no, Karuta isn't something they made up, but an actual game.
I lost about half of my interest after that.

I don't usually get surprised anymore in Fast Anime thread, but it seems Last or First exceeded my expectations. This is difficult to comprehend really.
Oh and to excuse myself for not watching Chihayafury: It's been on my plan to watch for a long time and then i actually started it at some point when i was bored.
Now i still have not finished even s1, but it's that anime i can trust whenever i want something steadily good to watch if i can't wait for an episode of chaika/log horizon/whatever.
