Argevollen is indeed the underdog of the year but I'll have to mention Nobunagun for its sheer fun value too.
I'd call Argevollen the underdog for being the constant third wheel of mecha shows. Captain Earth wasn't very good as far as I've heard but because Bones it got more attention than Argevollen, and Argevollen not revealing that it wasn't a generic mecha show until four or so episodes in didn't help.
At least it didn't suffer M3's fate. I hear that show isn't bad though, I might watch it out of pity.
Finally watched episode 7 of F/SN UBW, great stuff, although Horriblesubs didn't translate the "Drown in your ideals and die" 0/10 subs.

there's no evidence supporting shounen jump weekly, monthly or any other anime texts.
the big onii-chan theory is correct, anime evolution is correct, they're the only theories based on facts.

thinkin about starting up Paranoia Agent. i haven't heard much about it except that it's very slowly paced (nothing I mind) and spooky at times (which is definitely one of the things making me wanna see it).
anyone here have an opinion on it?
It owns on many levels.

Finished Yamato 2199. I really liked the 70's/early 80's-esque music aesthetic it had going on at times, especially the OP.

No wonder it sounded so 70's, the guy who sang 2199's OP also did the original one.
Speaking of that, I'll have to give the original a shot some time. It's going to be pretty weird seeing Akira being a guy, though.
Been reading the Old Boy manga and It's pretty interesting so far. I am already at the fifth book!
It does a good job grabbing the reader's interest specially people like me that are into old police drama novels.

it's fact that anime openings from the 70's/80's are better then anything nowadays
