Finished the Chimera Ant arc. Can't say I liked it, and it didn't help it's a third of the show.
This new arc seems promising, though. Too bad the show ends after it.
Even if the chimera ant arc was really dragged out i thought it was worth it for the ending to it. It was pretty amazing.

And I probably should have mentioned this a few episodes ago, but I really have to commend them with how they're handling [sp]the tournament.
Nearly every shounen has some sort of obligatory fighting tournament.
Chaika introduces one and everyone involved immediately says "man, fuck this, this is stupid."
Except for the twisted guy holding the tournament. But he's also the kind of guy to build several 100 foot tall walls, put a moat between them, have an underwater drain leading into the moat, include one or two air spots just for the sake of it, and then have a staircase, trained guard, and perpetually swinging giant bladed pendulums right where the drain ends.
Stupidly twisted.[/sp]

What? that was the one of the best arcs.
It's really, really, really, really, [i]really[/i] slow, and it's jarring because the rest of the show moves at an acceptable pace.
They could have easily shaved 10 episodes off and tell pretty much the same story.
This week's Shingeki no Bahamaut and, surprisingly, Akatsuki no Yona were really good, but maybe I'm just saying that because I may or have not have cried a little at both.

It's funny how an ending can redeem an arc.
The Superhuman Kelly arc in Tesujin 28 is easily the weakest arc in the show and dragged out several episodes too long but it has an incredible last five minutes.

I just watched the first episode of log horizon's dub in full and I gotta say, I'm not hating it.
It's pretty watchable, none of the voices took me out of the show by making me think "man that was some bad acting" and naotsugu is like a total gamer dudebro but it [I]works,[/I] and of course you all know the greatness that is Nyanta's voice.
