I can see why Tomino likes the director of this episode of G-Reco, the animation was dynamic as fuck the whole time.

So all the animators hate him. Yes?
So I'm watching the other shorts from the Nihon Animator Mihonichi thing that the rather infamous Me!Me!Me! video came from, and they seem to actually be pretty good. The first one seems like a setup for a show, the second one was pretty cute, the third one was Me!Me!Me!, and the 4th one also seemed like a potential setup to another show or perhaps a movie. They were all pretty interesting, captivating, and well-done, and they're really easy to watch as they're all only like 6 minutes long each.
So all the animators hate him. Yes?
Gonna need some context on that one.
Gonna need some context on that one.
Well, I quoted this 55 second long video where there were very few keyframes moving around, I don't know if you missed it, I thought it was quite visible.
I'm really late to this but god damn, Akame ga kill is great. It's so serious sometimes, but at other times it's the farthest thing from it
[sp]what the flying fuck is up with esdeath, does she really fall for the mc just like that?[/sp]

Blame it on the fact that I was up until 4am last night or just call me stupid, but could you elaborate? I can't see how a lack of keyframes corresponds to angering the animators with enough clarity to properly get your point.

Akame [sp]As if that wasn't the most predictable thing ever. As soon as she read out her list, I and I think everyone else watching it went "That's Tatsumi."[/sp]

[sp]I was thinking right from the start how stupid it would if she fell in love with him, lo and behold that's exactly what happened ._.[/sp]

director calls for more dynamic action
more dynamic action = more animation work
more animation work = more pressure on animators
more pressure on animators = not liking the director for giving them an excessive amount of work
it was a joke ...

I'm guessing that if a sequence has very few key frames then that means that animators will have to put more effort into how they fill the gaps with inbetweens since they don't have as many key frames to reference.
So, I haven't seen any recent anime. I think the last thing I watched was Log Horizion and No Game No Life. Both Season 1. Has there been any "must watch" stuff since then or anything that was big? I know SAO II came out but I'm waiting on that.
So I'm going to predict how Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete is going to end. [sp]It ends with a bookend, with them finding Yui in the attic again as Sou tries, once again, to save Kaori from being killed by a runaway bus. Basically it ends where it begins, and nothing is resolved.[/sp]
In case you were planning on watching this show, don't. It's kinda crappy.

I know that. I missed the part that required extra work compared to normal.

Okay, so my first assumption minus a part. I completely forgot about how less keyframes would make it a pain in the ass for inbetweeners, sorry for my moment of stupidity there.

Do any of these stick out more than others for being simply better?

Of the ones I've seen or heard about, Shingeki no Bahamut is about a card game, kinda, but it's not, and it's apparently really good. I heard Aldnoah started strong and then went to shit, [sp]and everyone hated the ending, apparently[/sp]. Shirobako is basically a somewhat exaggerated look at the anime industry from the perspective of 5 girls working in it, and is actually rather realistic and interesting. Everyone says Tonari no Seki-kun was an amazing comedy, and I should probably go watch that myself sometime. Kawaisou was a slice of life romcom, but it was pretty light on the rom and very heavy on the com. Very calm anime to watch just to laugh and kill time. Everyone raves about Ping-Pong, I haven't seen it and I don't intend to because I don't like the artstyle, and I'm not going to watch something I don't want to look at, and that apparently makes me a pariah. D-Frag was a bit of a harem comedy, but the romance elements are almost nonexistent, to the point of basically just being jokes themselves. It's by and large a comedy, worth a watch if you're into comedies for sure, not if you're looking for meaningful romance though.
Shingeki no Bahamut is about a card game, kinda, but it's not,
The IP it's based on is a card game but the anime has less than nothing to do with card games.

Yes, it does. You're avoiding a fantastic show because you don't like how it looks probably without even seeing it in motion. Get out until you've watched Ping Pong.

I believe that style is called rotoscoping, yes? I think it looks bad. I'm not going to watch something, no matter how good the content may be, if I think it looks bad, because I have to watch that bad on the screen. And I've seen snippets of it, I still don't like the way it looks.
I also have a crapload of other things I'm watching or want to watch before I'd even think about it.
I believe that style is called rotoscoping, yes?
Ping Pong isn't rotoscoped, just very stylistic.
Ping Pong isn't rotoscoped, just very stylistic.
I stand corrected then, I apparently still don't know what rotoscoping is.
It's been mentioned before, but ping pong's manga looks like that too, it's an accurate representation of the manga artstyle in motion.
I stand corrected then, I apparently still don't know what rotoscoping is.
Rotoscoping is basically drawing over live-action film frames and using the resulting traces in animation.
I'm not sure I can agree with you.

Aldnoah is well worth watching and Build Fighters is straight great?
Aldnoah is well worth watching and Build Fighters is straight great?
said nobody with a valuable opinion.
Aldnoah is well worth watching and Build Fighters is straight great?
Aldnoah has characters with the depth and dimension of a piece of paper and the plot is ridiculous when you think about it and Build Fighters I think is a action/slice of life high school show using the Gundam series to market itself, I watched one episode of it before I said 'fuck this shit.'
I think they're bad basically, that just my opinion tho you can watch them if you want.
