Feedback plz, especially Reds
Looks fine to me, no noticeable nub marks. All you need to do is panel line it, you're going to need a grey fine tip Gundam Marker, 0.3 or lower Sakura Micron, or an 0.3 mechanical pencil, and then a few of those cotton swab sticks that Japan uses for its weird ear cleaning fetish. Or you don't have to, but doing so will bring out all of the little details. Don't use regular markers, and for the love of god don't use black on light colours. [T]http://dalong.net/review/hg/h21/p/h21_2.jpg[/t] Now, on some kits it looks passable or decent. Not so much on others. Stick to grey unless the colours are dark. [T]http://dalong.net/review/hg/h120/p/h120_02.jpg[/t] [t]http://dalong.net/review/hg/h101/p/h101_02.jpg[/t] The old RX-78-2 kit hoods up pretty well for its age, and it and the original HGUC GM are the only kits that can carry their shields on their backs, and if you don't think that that's the tightest shit then get out of my face. It kinda sucks that the only way to get the version with modern articulation is to buy the second gunpla starter pack. Started re-watching 08th MS Team tonight. Literally the finest Gundam series ever created.
Started re-watching 08th MS Team tonight. Literally the finest Gundam series ever created.
08th MS Team has a very strong first half, but the romance which is so ridiculously garbage it borders on parody drags it down and as a result of the director switch that followed the second half is much weaker, with some strong moments. [editline]4th December 2014[/editline] And the final epilogue episode is awful and has about a minute total of actual epilogue. [editline]4th December 2014[/editline] Still an overall good series, it just fell short of what it could have been towards the end.
I don't think you can legitimately use the love-plot for a reason to crucify the series considering EVERY Gundam is required to have some crippling plot device that makes it's audience sigh in unison but still eat every minute of it up. For example: War in The Pocket - Annoying ass children Gundam Wing - Super edgy characters Gundam Seed - Angsty teenagers Mobile Suit Gundam - Strange animation direction & main character with a weird moral compass Stardust - Incredibly forced love triangle G Gundam - ..... etc. etc.

Mobile Suit Gundam - Strange animation direction & main character with a weird moral compass
The animation DIRECTION is fine, with battle choreography being some of the best in the series and far surpassing Zeta's. Its just really poorly drawn. And what do you mean by Amuro having a weird moral compass? [editline]4th December 2014[/editline] I reserve the right to crucify it because it is literally the driving force behind Aida and Shiro's characters and actions for the rest of the series after they meet for the third time with a combined total of time spend together being maybe eight minutes of time in-universe and both declare that they're wildly in love despite having done absolutely nothing that could ever possibly lead to any sort of romance.

It's kinda funny how Argevollen is getting two model kits, one for the lead and one for a mook, and Aldnoah.Zero only gets an action figure of the KG-6.
BTOOOM is a good show Rewatched EoE and it made sense this time and it was a masterpiece Watching Wake Up Girls! all I can think about is how sorry I feel for Yamakan having fallen so far
The Hecate kind of feels like Tomino was looking over the shoulder of the mecha designer, saw it only had one eye, then leaned over and awkwardly scribbled on three extra eyes and then said "there, better", leaving behind a large note saying "NO MONOEYES". next GBF try will have some kancolle parody it seems [t]http://i3.minus.com/ibx3CMUwDnxM70.png[/t] "Guncolle" and riding the water like they do in the kancolle anime
The Hecate kind of feels like Tomino was looking over the shoulder of the mecha designer, saw it only had one eye, then leaned over and awkwardly scribbled on three extra eyes and then said "there, better", leaving behind a large note saying "NO MONOEYES".
Not sure how old is old, because the box says 2001.
13 Years is a bit of a difference. There's a general leap in quality of articulation around 2006 and a lot of the really old HGUCs are kinda garbage.
Well now that you mention it, the shoulder pads tend to pop out and his head goes barely a degree above horizon
Old kits are still plenty of fun, you just won't get as much flex out of it. I recommend something from the Thunderbolt line for maximum overdakka, massive backpacks, and modern engineering. [t]http://dalong.net/review/hg/ht01/p/ht01_36.jpg[/t][t]http://dalong.net/review/hg/ht01/p/ht01_38.jpg[/t] The Psycho Zaku has managed to reach the point where it officially has too many guns, and that's a lofty goal to reach. He is the bone of his bazooka. Holy shit that dakka is on par with my 1/1000 Yamato The other kit I picked up was a Seravee, which goes with my little backpack Seraphim
On the topic of mecha, I really need to watch the full season of Fumoffu, I've seen three random episodes and they're great. Even if the only mecha in the season is Bonta-kun.
best gundam overdakka is endless waltz heavy arms custom imo the HG model is hella old though
Kinglah and Winner must be turning in their graves right about now.
When I was younger my parents used to buy me Gundam models because I loved to pose them. I didn't/don't watch Gundam other than a few random episode of the old series' and knew nothing about it, I just thought they were cool looking. I was also 6. One of them had huge angel wings and look neat as fuck. I had a Zaku too I'm pretty sure. Then my dad took them all when my parents got divorced and sold them for drug money. That'll be my anime robot contribution to the thread. It's also why I don't like watching mecha.

You guys talk about mecha too much tho. It's mildly inconvenient to have to scroll through all the posts and shit.
