For all we know he just talks for ages in the LN which translates to an entire episode when he has to actually say it out loud.

Dean had nothing to do with the writing there. I'm sure in the book it was just a 1 chapter exposition piece to give us more back story on that character and to tell us why he is the way he is. But in the episode, it was just a long, dragged out, pandering speech.
I'm glad they didn't cut that out but I wish they would have made it more concise.

In Garo, the standard Horror mooks are clearly taken from the live-action show, so they really clash with the rest of the art style since they're designed to be much more realistic and a lot less stylised than the humans.
Okay forget anything I said about PP2, this thing is SHIT. S1 was pretty fair but damn this latest episode is just complete shit.

goddammit i was literally coming here to say "man log horizon 2 doesn't have nearly enough rudy", now my post seems unoriginal.

this season seems to be a lot more internal dialogue than anything else so far
not really as interesting imo
I think it's because we've been stuck with only two slow-moving arcs at once. Akatsuki's solo arc was action focused and she couldn't carry the arc on her own, and Shiroe's been steadily plugging away at one problem and has been raiding for a few episodes. In the first season we had a whole bunch of things happening and then we rotated onto the junior adventurers to keep things fresh, and there were all these huge developments constantly happening.
I think once they all regroup and finish the raid arc the show should pick up speed again. The cast works best when they're all together.
Started iDOLM@S today. I can already tell I'm going to love it. Now to see how it stacks up against Love Live.
