Probably because the Moonlight Butterfly mostly just comes up in power level discussions because it [sp]kills all technology[/sp] and is merely one part of the Turn A's ludicrously overpowered arsenal alongside stuff only mentioned in side material like the wormhole beam rifle that teleports beams into your enemy's cockpit. Last time I remember it being mentioned was months and months ago when somebody bought the effects part for their Turn A model. Long story short, the Moonlight Butterfly probably isn't used very often.
also because the effects parts are a bandai online exclusive and cost like twenty dollars might as well just get the chinese bootleg parts instead

This is why I like how Bokurano handles doing the same with mecha [sp] the gods make humans from different dimensions fight as a power source and the last main character destroys Zearth so no one from their Earth had to continue, but in the end it really didn't do anything to stop the cause of the problem[/sp]

Because as interesting as the titular mech is, I find the setting to be a bigger draw. Plenty of series have over-the-top mechs, but not many take place in what is basically early 1900s America, complete with biplanes.
