Yeah, that's basically what I was going for. Sorry, it's a bit expensive. I won't buy it. I realize now that a でも before the ちょっと would probably make the sentence make more sense, since then there'd be the added "but" that would make it make a bit more sense.

Of course I wouldn't. And mentioning that is utterly irrelevant because while it is indicative of Deen as a studio it has nothing to do with Log Horizon and its animation quality beyond being a measure of how bad things could potentially get.

I do not recall anybody praising them, including myself. I never said their work was good either, I said it was passable and acceptable. Deen IS a shit studio, but their work on Log Horizon has been passable and of average quality and a double standard in this case is going out of your way to nitpick and complain, the example being used at the time of posting that being the pile of clothes, something that wouldn't be any higher detail from anybody else unless they made it a non-animated pile that merely slid out, or accusing them of "just filling everything in" which is how literally every studio works. The only difference is how many filters and shaders they apply over it.
Long story short I'm tired of bitching where there isn't enough to bitch about. Deen's animation is for the most part is a big pile of fucking whatever.
Hm, after watching the Avatar shows I feel willing to give anime a try.
I watched the first 2 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I'm not really sure what to make of it so far. At points it feels like a kids cartoon, then there's some messed up shit like what happened in their house.
I'll probably watch at least a few more episodes to give it a decent chance. Is there like a certain point I should get to before I make up my mind?

People usually have the "3 episode rule," where they drop something if they don't like it after the first 3 episodes, but for longer shows, it can take more than 3 for things to really get going. I think, in general, if you're going to apply the 3 episode rule, it should be 3 episodes per cour the show runs. A cour is 12-13 episodes, so basically watch 3 episodes for every 12-13 it has, and if after that you still don't like it, then drop it.
In the case of FMA:B, it runs for 64 episodes, so based on what I said, 15 should be enough to get things going, but really after 6 should probably be good enough to tell if you're going to like it or not.

FMA B does less and less of the "switch to low detail style for gag" thing as it goes along anyway. I didn't really feel like the comedy was out of place other than a couple of occasions that I can't really remember.
