the beginning of my post wasn't a rhetorical question, so answering it with another question or in a rude way wasn't really what I was looking for. The second half of Trunk Monkey's post made sense to me however (not the last part about Endless 8 or whatever that is though,) and if that is the case with Ghost in the shell then so be it. I wasn't trying to argue. I was just saying how I would normally approach something that has weak points and isn't required to be in a certain order. I would want to start off weak and finish strong But the way I approach things, I am willing to give things far more of a chance than most people do. Like, I will continue to watch something that someone suggested to me even if I don't like it to begin with. I often don't judge a show or movie unless I've seen the whole thing, although I can tell if the premise itself does not interest me. If the premise itself is interesting to me and it is highly praised by so many people, then I'd be willing to bet that watching the worst part of it first wouldn't be too bad. If it's like what Trunk Monkay said and the other shit is essential to watch first and the canon needs to be understood before watching the worst part of it, then that is how it is, I have no way of knowing since I have not seen any of it. That is why I said each thing I said in that post, to make it clear that I don't know why you want want to end on something weak, then I said IF the order doesn't matter the good stuff should go last. I also made it clear that I hadn't seen the show so I wouldn't know. It is just that the first response to his question said that you could watch either the show or the movie first since there was no continuity. Now people are saying that you should understand certain parts before moving on to other parts regardless of continuity, so it makes sense now.
when i watch good anime i basically become disabled until i have watched rest of the episodes tho
Such as me, who watched Barakamon until 5am and am really feeling it right now. rating-joke-that-starts-argument/10 The cast was really balanced, greedy Naru aside all the side characters got a fair share of interaction with Handa. Manganekko best girl by the way. It was good to see a show that could portray realistic kid personalities without making them overly annoying (hi Gundam). Every scene was either comedy or character development, even the obligatory beach segment renounced any fan service and dropped a little revelation at the end. Extremely enjoyable, would marathon again someday.
mardock scramble seems cool i guess i might have to watch the movies since nobody is translating the manga and i wanna know how the story goes on anyone seen the movies? are they okay?
The previously announced Love Live movie is getting released this summer!
could nadeko in monogatari be a contender for worst girl of recent times
Reading that as Madcock. I was like, "nnanna...." :v:
From what I've seen, most of you guys are serious hipsters. An anime isn't good because it's harem, or defies common tropes, or because it's title is in japanese. Jesus Christ, and these are good animes: Hunter x Hunter Death Note Sword Art Online Digimon and Pokemon (controversial, but YES) Doraemon Even great. You guys need to seriously see this clearly, Toradora isn't good and neither is Steins;Gate. The titel doesn't even make sense what the fuck EDIT: However I agree that Naruto and One Piece can suck it.

Do people not even put effort into their vain shitposts anymore? lmao also I still haven't got any info on RahXephon or Skull Man, you're killing me here FA
Is that considered trolling? Am I obligated to report that post?
Do people not even put effort into their vain shitposts anymore? lmao also I still haven't got any info on RahXephon or Skull Man, you're killing me here FA
I dunno about RahXephon but Skullman a bit of a mixed reception. Apparently it's half as long as it needed to be, tries to gain a plot too late, and then has a nonsensical ending. But I haven't watched it and that's just what I've heard.
I can't tell, honestly.
Thanks Reds :( Wait...double post? Fuck.
the system is crashing everybody out of the timeline right now

In fact if it was longer I think it would be far worse.
Hence "i have not watched it and that's just what i've heard".
now you've heard both sides, go watch it and make your own opinion it's like exactly the kind of obscure superhero shit you always talk about us not watching enough of.
now you've heard both sides, go watch it and make your own opinion it's like exactly the kind of obscure superhero shit you always talk about us not watching enough of.
Unfortunately the only release I could find of it I could mail-order at the time was terrible quality and had really bad hissing audio so I watched the first episode then put it back on my "to watch in a year" list. I felt that I'd damage my VHS player if I watched the rest.
What is so unclear? I just don't like the general attitude I see here, on /R/anime and /a/, and all the other countless anime boards. Anime hipsters are real. Also recommend me an anime please. I like these: Death Note Hunter x Hunter FMA: Brotherhood Code Geass (not watched it yet, but I'm probably gonna like it lol)
Toradora and Steins;Gate is bad but you like Death Note? :suicide:
Toradora and Steins;Gate is bad but you like Death Note? :suicide:
Yeah, Toradora just got a bunch of praise because it is the only harem in a while that wasn't completely and utter shit. People tend to do overrate when they're comparing with bad stuff. Also, it's pretty shit just generally. Death Note however was a thrill from start to finish. Very good anime, even though it might have slipped a little towards the end in general atmosphere. Still better than most anime though IMO
Toradora is a harem.. :downs: lol with that I am done. Watch Psycho-Pass Season 1. It's a better detective show then Death Note.
Okay I don't really know what constitutes a harem, but I meant the general lovey-dovey crap like Love Hina and the rest.
toradora's not even a harem.

If FA sounds like hipsters, that's just because they watch more than the first ten shows to come up when you type in "anime recommendations" into Google.
Anyone think love animes are cringe by the way? At least most of the ones I've read. Also anyone watches SAO? I think Yui is cringe as fuck and I want to pull my eyeballs out whenever she says "Papa" or "Mama".
Okay I don't really know what constitutes a harem, but I meant the general lovey-dovey crap like Love Hina and the rest.
love hina is a harem so you're at least half right.
