I got eight minutes into Yuribears before I had to stop for reasons and my reactions far are "why", "what", "the only reason why this isn't hentai is because you aren't drawing nipples", "why did you have to make this", and most prominently "fuck off, show" every time anything happens on screen.
This is a weird show and not really the type of weird I like.
It's better if you actually watched Mawaru penguindrum before I think. Very similar style but a lot less weird.
So I decided to have the brilliant (read: stupid) idea to work my way through Hulu's anime section A-Z and see how long it takes me to slip in to madness. :v:
I already watched 11 Eyes, which was terrible, and now I'm watching Accel World which has actually been pretty good so far.
does anyone know the name of that Rick Dom looking suit that shows up in Unicorn that isn't actually a Rick Dom? It's got the same like headshape and stuff but it looked modernized and it had two funnels attached on its back.

Mind providing a screenshot or a description? Colour, weapons, episode? First Dom lookalike that comes to mind is the Dreissen, but that doesn't have funnels.
I have since been informed that the Dreissen has these things. They're not funnels or bits though. So it's the Dreissen. Specifically the Sleeves version.

It kills me that a lot of the shows I want to watch are all split over a handful of different streaming services, the only reason I haven't gone back to Crunchyroll's free service is because of simulcasts and even then there's still new stuff coming out that's provided elsewhere. It's getting hard to play by the rules without being balls deep in multiple monthly subscriptions, and even then you're still limited. It wouldn't be so bad if you could just pay for what you wanted to watch and then be done with it like iTunes, right now it seems the best way to go about things legitimately is by being a NEET and watching everything you want to see in a month, but even then you'd still be missing out on new stuff every season and you'd have to re-sub for that one show.
So i literally just went to the bath in tamako market. Not like one similar, the actual fucking one that the anime is based off. The owner has actual anime stills and shit from the staff of kyoto animation. Furthermore, the bathhouse owner is the model for kamaji from spirited away. Fucking miazaki himself often went to the bath. Such a cool place. The area around it looks like it was lifted straight out of tamako market. Its nuts dude.
Decided to do a nanoha rewatch and man I don't remember it looking this good.
Maybe ep1 just had more budget but it was actually pretty well animated.
Although there's this one conversation where they did like 3x as much shading and put in shitloads of frames and it honestly just looks kinda weird, there's really no reason to have that many frames.

The rest of it is just generic animation, nothing amazing but nothing bad either, then you hit that and it's just trippy as all hell because it kinda looks good but it also kinda looks wrong. It just confuses me because there's several action scenes in that episode where they could have done that kind of animation and they just didn't
