actually breddy good, I think the reason I didn't care for shinji in the original and eoe was the lack of context but now that I'm a bit more familiar with his character I don't think he's quite as bad. Also rei got an actual personality so that's really okay.

I know this is a well known fact already, but jesus christ SAO is so surprisingly fucking bad I just have to say something
I thought I was ready after being totally disappointed with NGNL which I expected to be similar in the writing quality department, but this is barely watchable and it's supposedly the only decent arc. 5 minutes can't pass without spaghetti everywhere
I'd be fine if the show was trash and entertaining at the same time like how Mirai Nikki, Another, Kuroko S2, Akame ga Kill or something similar were but this isn't just retarded anymore, but also traumatizing experience with no redeemable qualities whatsoever.
These 9 episodes were all filled with forced romance between bland samey characters and forced tragedy because some good naive dude with 5 minutes screen time died and MC being the hottest shit for no reason and the entire world revolving around him what the fuck how can anyone watch this without cringing especially when they start crying and shit for like 10 minutes I mean just stop already go kill some shit or start writing more believable characters jesus fuck
