oh you could watch hellsing ultimate [editline]7th January 2015[/editline] black lagoon/jormungand are both relatively action/gorey, though not necessarily completely mindless [editline]7th January 2015[/editline] if you want some edgy off the wall shit mnemosyne was good I think, though it's been like 5 years since I saw it and I don't remember it that well
does anyone have any half decent goreshit or fighting anime for me to watch? im in the mood for something kinda mindless and everything im watching atm is romance bar parasyte
MD Geist always MD Geist
wow racist.
their eyes are so big, and creepy looking; they remind me of something you'd see on a mascot outfit, and I have a bad phobia of those :~; i pinky promise im not a klan member
kancolle is surprisingly enjoyable
A laugh? Elfen Lied isn't a bad show it's just edgy and gory as fuck. [editline]7th January 2015[/editline] Has a nice OP too
One of the absolute best op's.
milky td is picking up where season 2 left off, actually been good and not having mc's that ruin the season, also i seem to be getting better at reconizing voice actors been that it didn't take me that long to know that Marine is voiced by the person who also did Honoka
So KanKolle is exactly what I hoped for, navy Strike Witches. Also, is anyone bothering to watch Junketsu no Maria or Shinmai Maou no Testament? They both seem like ecchi trash, I'm debating if I should even bother, since I've watched enough of that shit in previous seasons.

Which sounds like a incredible shame because I love non-fantashit medieval settings, and the melee combat webms reds posted recently looked amazing too.

Kancolle was good. Akagi <3
I don't know what to expect from it, on one hand it's the Director of Code Geass, Planetes, and Scryed but like you said the jokes may just ruin it
A good director won't make bad source material good. At best it won't be bad.
A good director won't make bad source material good. At best it won't be bad.
From what I hear about Sabagebu's manga, a good director did exactly that.
So I kinda of want to try out reading some manga. I want something that is like laid back and won't make me depressed or super emotional, just something to read before going to sleep. An anime I could think of that is related to the feeling I want the manga to give off is Daily Lives of High School Boys. It was super laid back and hilarious and not depressing or really emotional at all.
From what I hear about Sabagebu's manga, a good director did exactly that.
They made the main character a bitch SO GOOD, I really don't get the love of sabagebu's anime, it wasn't funny (to me)
From what I hear about Sabagebu's manga, a good director did exactly that.
From what I see on MAL it's in the 1300 ranking, meaning no matter how I look at it, that didn't happen.
hidamari sketch azumanga daioh
I bought the entire Hidamari manga after watching the anime. I'm still waiting for Vol4 to show up. I'm getting a little irritated that it hasn't yet, I don't want to start reading it until I have all of it.
It was definitely a good purchase, I might look into getting azumanga too. Waitin' on volume 8 for hidamari. localisation never.
I've been watching RahXephon which I dropped years ago for a reason I won't get into, it's really good you should watch it. A very basic description that's not entirely accurate is "studio bones makes evangelion and replaces shinji with a 17 year old dude who doesn't run away and always quickly gets in the robot, rei has emotions and asuka is less of a bitch" From the 8 episodes I've watched so far it's basically fixed every "problem" people seem to have with eva, namely shinji/asuka/rei/whatever character you found annoying. The main mech has goddamn angel wings ON IT'S HEAD and as far as I can tell is actually some sort of godlike being, the MC doesn't run away, is not a wimp at all, he fights giant dick robots, (as in literally erect cocks, interested yet hakita) and for all you non-mechafags the mech part is very minor, even less then shows like code geass and eva itself, it's mostly about the characters, the fights are quite short but very well done. Good characters, great music, gorgeous animation for the time (obviously, bones), and a story that in in between a normal mecha and a mindfuck mecha like eva. [t]http://i.imgur.com/QLKX7zx.png[/t] I wasn't lying about the dick robots
sdhg
I always recommend Jyoshikausei. It's great. Sakamoto desu ga? might work as well. There aren't all that many chapters of either out at the moment, though.
It was definitely a good purchase, I might look into getting azumanga too. Waitin' on volume 8 for hidamari. localisation never.
I think they sell all of Azumanga in one giant anthology now.
yeah the site i order from has it all for 30 bucks free shipping. I think I might just buy that actually...
I'm also waiting for my copy of Love Live S1 to show up. My paypal was charged, but I've received no order confirmation from NIS, nor any shipping info. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'm going to contact them.
I bought a copy of Genki, that Japanese language textbook. I haven't learned hiragana or katakana though. I should get on that someday.
Genki has tables in the beginning for both of them, and they only really take a week or two each to learn, but you have to make sure you keep practising to retain them after. You definitely need to know the kana in Genki, they drop romanji in Ch3 and switch to pure kana/kanji, with furigana (the kanji's reading in hiragana) above/below the kanji in the text.
