I arrived at the group event around 6 in the evening, piling into the crowded room with other veterans. The crippled man next to me saw service in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive. He'd lost many more friends than I and suffered the loss of a limb, but my experience was far more harrowing. We took turns telling our tales, of comrades lost and of men slain, when the time came for me to share my stories. With tears welling in my eyes, I told them the the story of the Infinite Stratos offensive.
I told them of how I watched the first season on Hulu, and the horror of the top notch animation and wasted potential. I reflected on the second season and how the plot was only second to the tit animation. I finished my stories, sobbing; many were crying but most simply nodded in understanding. The group dispersed after this. Maybe next week I'll tell them about Rosario Vampire...

i use paint.net and it's a lot easier to do something like that or maybe puvleek just made up the most ridiculously complex roundabout way to it

While it may seem intimidating, the entire process usually takes less than 2 minutes.

It's just cropping, resizing, drawing the border, saving. I don't know how to make it any simpler.
The only real difference from the way you do it in photoshop is exporting...

I've never been good at teaching/explaining stuff, so I guess that guide was a clumsy attempt of mine to help someone.
Anyway, I'm not forcing anyone to use it. What works for me doesn't necessarily have to suit others.
