Yeah, on top of not making myself clear this was just an unnecessary addition. So, let's say that you want an 80x160 avatar; 80:160 is the ratio of 0.5, so this means that you have to be careful not to resize the picture to, like, 83x160 which is bigger than the size allowed (and has ratio of ~0.52:1).
Just forget about that part, just try not to exceed the dimensions of 80x160 pixels and everything will be all right.

I didn't watch a lot of 2014 stuff though so there isn't much to choose from and there were a bunch of letdowns (Tokyo Ghoul, Grisaia, the latter half of Akame)

I didn't have a lot of time to watch anime last year, due to real life bullshit mucking up my free time, but honestly, I really enjoyed (what I had the time to watch of) No Game, No Life and Accel World.
Also, I THINK I watched Eva 3.33 last year which was awesome. I'm probably going to get crucified for this but I also watched Attack on Titan and really enjoyed it.
Now that I'm doing my Hulu A-Z challenge I'll definitely be a little more up to date with my anime. Right now I generally only have time to watch 1-2 episodes of a show per night, since I just moved and have lots of cleaning to do, on top of a full-time job.

Because there are some major titles I have yet to watch, as of now I'd say Haikyuu, followed by Barakamon and Ping Pong. And Parasyte, should the remaining episodes be as good.
I had just finished watching Ping Pong, and I have never seen anything quite like it. What an amazing ride, easily the best of 2014 for me.

The best airing anime I watched last year is Ping Pong. My favorite is Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji.
Space Dandy and Mushishi Zoku Shou are worth mentioning.
The best anime I watched last year is also my favorite. Haibane Renmei. I laughed. I cried. I went to a psychologist.
Princess Tutu and Tokyo Godfathers are also excellent non-airing things I watched in the year 2014

Personal favourite was Jinsei, had me laughing painfully the whole time but no one showed a fleck of interest until that god awfully subbed finale.
I feel like a fool because my two other favourites happen to be ones that I didn't wanna watch until they were finished and everyone was praising them. Barakamon and Nozaki were great.
