Wait you guys are playing DnD!?
But-
But I though I was gonna DM. I was told by three people I was gonna DM it.
I wrote up an entire game. I put I don't know how many hours of work into this.
What the fuck guys

This is a really rough dnd thing that's based off of yogsquest 2. Its just fucking about mostly
I miss DnD altho i'm really into Hero System now, the freedom it gives is much better and not as underwhelming as GURPS...

Still in class so :T
Still waiting on DnD here so :poot:
DnD with me would prolly go like this:
Me: Do I get a gun?
Friend: No...
Me: aw this game is bullshit
Well then you aren't cut out to play DnD
Question for Kat: does your D&D have a gunslinger class y/n
My custom setting does have flintlock pistols and muskets, but those aren't all that common. You'd need to explain how you managed to get ahold of one.
It also has ancient laser guns and ray guns, but those things are so high tier and rare there's no way I'd let you get one until way late into the game

My dreams of being a dual revolver welding cowboy robot are crushed
You can have a bandolier full of flintlock pistols.
Just have like 30 pistols all over your body

psst, hi-tech laser revolvers

Hey, that doesn't sound too bad...
Can I be a lucha-dwarf.
This is important
Can I be a lucha-dwarf.

I second the importance of this.
I do want to stress that the games I run aren't a thing like the kinda games the Yogscast play. They are more serious affairs. Like goofy shit does happen and fun times are had, but the over acing plot and setting are more serious.
So don't roll up a joke character.
I mean you CAN do a more funny character, like a drunken dwarven barbarian type of guy for example, but I still want it to be grounded in 'reality'.

It might work.
I'm liking this DM already

So you're saying that we can't be were-lawyers who defeats evil with thier triple tiger foot slam attacks?
Nah it's just DMing is one of my favorite things to do ever. I haven't gotten to run a game in a good long while. I've had people talking to me about DMing a wayt game for months. When one finally gets started nobody tells me and everyone forgets about me.
It kinda hurts y'know?
That's on me, I wasn't totally sure what to do about getting everybody situated on started your game. There's a couple of separate groups right now though, so no worries about the player count on yours. There's still plenty of people who are waiting because of me, so it's all good. If you could message me on Steam whenever you get the chance to help me figure out what all we need to do to get this thing going, that'd be great. :)
Man I just cannot get into Witcher 3. At all.
Nothing about it has compelled me to actually keep playing it.
Wish I could refund it...
I'm mad because nobody communicated with me at all. All talks of me DMing it went away a few weeks ago and suddenly there's a game. That kinda thing doesn't feel good.
I wanna learn about your game!
Oh yeah I want your characters to have a goal in life.
Like why are they adventuring? No "fame and fortune" is a really shitty reason.
Best example is Inigo Montoya. A six fingered man killed his father and he wants revenge. If that was a DnD Character, when he enters town the first thing he's do is to ask about a six fingered man. This raises more question. Why does he want to find him? What will he do to the six fingered man? Should he tell the party why he wants to find him? Why or why not?
Not only does that make your character more interesting, it will draw you into he game and get you thinking about what your characters wants in life.
It also helps me as a DM to better suit adventures to fit you.

Lucha Dwarf- An ancient warrior sect of the dwarfen realms, specializing in hand to hand combat. These fierce warriors wear face mask to honor their ancestors.
That's the most "real" lucha dwarf I can think of.
I was thinking of a character who's from the future who has to break a curse to get back to his time, but if anyone finds out he's from the future he's stuck in the past forever.

Well in my setting, the lizardmen have an odd victorian culture crossed with mexican culture. So a dwarven luchador could have grown up in a lizard city and learned the ways of the lucha. He developed a code of honor.
Hell this can open up more backstory stuff. Maybe he was shamed in the ring by another fighter and wants a rematch, so he's adventuring to pay for his travels to find the man who beat him.

This is a thing in Vermintide where the Witch hunter somehow has 48 pistols tucked away on him

No, time travel characters are very rarely done well. [sp]that also fucks with the continuity of my setting mega hard[/sp]
