x-word (literally n-word, f-word, b-word etc.) we know what you are trying to say so just say it, euphemisms are pointless.
It's ok when you're doing it mutually "how's my favorite N word" but people who do it out of "He... he said the N AND C WORD" it just seems childish oh gee you're so sheltered you can't say cunt/bitch/douche/boobies?
Like
You guys don't know how many people abuse this word. I counted the number of times this one kid says "like" in our english class' socratic seminars. Simply his share of speaking (which was NOT a majority of the time by far) is just chock full of that one word. I counted it multiple times with tally marks, I think it almost hit 150 once.

'Subjective,' and 'objective.' A philosophy and linguistics professor explained to me why these terms are used so incorrectly so frequently. Every relationship between a person who knows something, the subject, and the thing that is being known or understood, the object, has an subjective and a objective nature to it. What the object really is is represented by the objectiveness of it, and what it is perceived to be is represented by its subjective nature. Nobody can step outside of their bias and unique set of experiences and declare what is objective, because every observation made is subjective by nature. It's not a measure of unequivocality or indisputability, just a concept to differentiate between the unattainable "perfect" understanding of the things in our world and the inherently skewed understanding we can manage.
Autism. Seems like a lot of people think that everything bad on the internet is directly tied to autism and people suffering from it. Joke or not, it's old and stale.
OCD People tend to use it to describe any little quark they have. "I like to straighten this book because of my OCD", "I like to have an even number of chicken nuggets because of OCD" This is not how OCD works [editline]16th May 2015[/editline]
Starting sentences with "Well"
I do this quite a lot. Even on FP, sometimes.
'Basically'
Toxic, Like, Literally
Problematic.
"Uhh-fuckin'-uhhh"
Autism. Seems like a lot of people think that everything bad on the internet is directly tied to autism and people suffering from it. Joke or not, it's old and stale.
"But I love making fun of people with disabilities, it's my hobby. It helps me feel superior online and distracts me from the fact that my own life is a failure that is falling apart."
x-word (literally n-word, f-word, b-word etc.) we know what you are trying to say so just say it, euphemisms are pointless.
That's not really what euphemisms are for, they're just to make an unpleasant topic a bit nicer or less blunt, just like how a dysphemism is meant to do the exact opposite. It's not really to hide anything. "My home is a dainty little residence in need of work" vs "My house is a claustrophobic shitwreck that's falling apart" both pretty much mean the same thing

'Kind of' 'Sort of' 'Not really' 'I guess' 'Alright' 'I don't know'
"k" letter used to replace the word ok. If someone replies to me with "K" it makes me want to bash their teeth in with an iron pipe.
"Edgy" It has been used so fucking much, people have forgotten any meaning it may have once had.
"Triggered." Make it stop please
"simplistic" used in place of "simple" Simplistic implies a sacrifice in quality for the sake of ease. Simple can mean elegant.
"cunt", "mate". I'm serious, they say this in every bloody sentence in college for God's sake. Effing and blinding, constantly. I just find it obnoxious.
lel and kek. Makes you look like stupid 10 year old. Lol gets overused too but that doesn't annoy me nearly as much as those two.
It's not a word, but that fucking lenny face.
OCD People tend to use it to describe any little quark they have. "I like to straighten this book because of my OCD", "I like to have an even number of chicken nuggets because of OCD" This is not how OCD works
This kind of thing annoys me. People love to pretend they have every mental disorder they know the name of anyways but with fucking OCD it gets taken to a new level.
