Nope, just go on ahead and watch them.
Hmm ok, someone said I had to watch the series, but ok.
You can if you want, no one's forcing you or anything.
But I felt [sp]Nagisa's death[/sp] in the manga was much more emotional for Shinji, especially considering everything [sp]Nagisa[/sp] said beforehand. In the episode, there was this whole minute long sequence or so of what I assume to be Shinji taking everything in and finally deciding to do the deed. Didn't really like it that much.
I thought "WTF CLANNAD" hint, it's [sp]Kaworu[/sp]
Do the 2 Evangelion movies have all the story in them or does the series need to be watched first?
They are stand-alone
You can if you want, no one's forcing you or anything.
Well I don't give a fuck as long as I'm getting all the story
Well I don't give a fuck as long as I'm getting all the story
Well, you probably don't want to watch the series itself after the Rebuild movies because 90s animation. But the series is kinda the prerequisite for watching EoE. Hahaha Awesome
That was interesting
How come Jasper/shknbk get 2 votes? i though they were the same people.
They're not.
I thought "WTF CLANNAD" hint, it's [sp]Kaworu[/sp] They are stand-alone
Stand-Alone my ass! It's a goddamn sequel to the tv series. Watching the new movies without having watched the series is just plain dumb. Not only that but watching the tv series first makes the fuck-yeah moments in rebuild so much more amazing.
Series it is then
Are you saying that instead of watching a movie on the TV with 2-3 meters distance, you sit right infront of the monitor with your nose sticking to the screen so you can detect even the slightest artifact or color level error?
I sit 1 meter away from my monitor and watch it. I can easily see the compression.
I saw a restaurant today named "O.E.C. Japanese Cuisine" Get it?
O.E.C Japanese Cousine.
Yeah, and what does O.E.C. sounded like?
Oh I see. But noo. You meant something stupid like Oishii. But on the other hand... Delicious Japanese Cousine. You fucking pervert. [editline]02:46PM[/editline]
Stand-Alone my ass! It's a goddamn sequel to the tv series. It's a complete remake with many similarities from the original show, mostly in the first episode. It's in the damn name. REBUILD. RE BUILD. Build over again. Making something over. Remake.
i dont think it's been posted before http://eye.swfchan.com/flash.asp?id=6200&n=haruko.swf&w=550&h=400 fucking hot fooly cooly hentai game ;D
Who doesn't love ZONE? He just needs to get his gear moving and finish HentaiKey girl 5 already.
の_の Fuck it I'll just watch the movies, everyone has a different opinion about whether or not you should watch the series or not.

Not only that but the new characterization makes more sense and is more awesome after having seen the first series. It is NOT a remake. EX: Kawarou wants to make Shinji happy THIS time.

EX: Kawarou wants to make Shinji happy THIS time.
You're making absolutely no sense. Remake = build over again. With that I don't mean copying it. I mean making it all from the ground again and into something new, totally remaking it. Extreme makover if you like. It is in no way a sequel because it starts at rock bottom and goes it's own way. A sequel would continue where the show ended. This starts where the first show started. FMA: Brotherhood is also a remake, but it goes in a completely different path than the original.

[sp]Blood red oceans-Remember what the ocean's were like at the end of EOE? It's a rebuild in the metaphorical sense that the characters are getting another chance. Another chance within their respective universe. A chance to re-build their lives. But regardless of that, if you don't watch the series YOU WILL BE MISSING OUT on some great subtext, plot, and characterization that is revisited in Rebuild; and like I said before, the FUCKYEAH moments are 100x more fantastic only after having watched the first series.

Getting references is just a bonus, you are not missing anything crucial. Your argument makes no sense.

But it's nevertheless the same shit over again directing into a new path. It doesn't matter if this is an alternate universe where they're given another chance or anything like that. You won't understand more or less by having seen the TV series.

That has almost nothing to do with my argument and also SZS is a completely different type of show.

You know what dgg? Fuck it. All I was doing at first was explaining why Gmod_user should watch the series first. Not arguing about whether it's a sequel or not And it's up to him/her anyway so it really doesn't matter. Here's my argument, plain and simple: The plot in Rebuild is so much more fulfilling in rebuild after experiencing the sorta-depression that was the tv-series. Watch it or don't. It's up to you.
You know what dgg? Fuck it. All I was doing at first was explaining why Gmod_user should watch the series first. Not arguing about whether it's a sequel or not. The only reason to watch the series is to watch "The End of Evangelion".
Take a good and long look at what you wrote. That has almost nothing to do with my argument and also SZS is a completely different type of show.
Nope, you claimed that you can't watch Rebuild of Eva if you haven't watched the original series since you don't get some of the "references". That would correspond to not watching a comedy reference show because without watching the original series they are referencing to as you might miss the references. It's the same logic. Dgg, back me up on this.

I rewrote my argument so that you can understand it better. Go read it. It has nothing to with references. [editline]01:31PM[/editline] Going somewhere. So don't expect any responses any time soon
