The only problem with the past Creepy Stories and Stuff threads were the amount of people that went off topic with the casual talk and skeletons popping out on every post.

Energy has a different meaning in physics than you ascribe to it.
Your body is composed of energy and matter, constantly changing around the clock. You take in matter and end up converting it into all sorts of energy. Kinetic, light, heat, etc.
When you die, this process continues. Your body begins to break down as micro-organisms utilize it, and energy is given out in this process. Matter is also removed over time. Gases will form and leak from the body, or fluids will drain out of it.
There is no spirit because it implies that there is a form of energy that resides within the body, making decisions, controlling your body, etc. Somehow it can go through walls yet it doesn't fall through the earth. Somehow it isn't influenced by gravity yet it stays on the earth. Even if it did exist, you would be hard pressed to explain how this energy won't dissipate and lose consciousness very rapidly.
The nuclear reaction you speak of is the same reason why cutting a piece of wood in half doesn't split the atoms inside and cause you to die in a nuclear blast. There is no nuclear reaction because no atoms are being split apart (due to the instability of the atom or it being bombarded with neutrons) or fused (like with hydrogen being fused into helium in the sun).

Well, a few months back me and some friends were helping a veterans group replace flags at the graves of solders in the local cemetery. I found this weird gravestone in the far back that was being covered up by brush. One of the veterans told me it was part of the old cemetery, which would've explained it facing a different direction. I cleared the brush off so it could be read if you were facing the right way. I didn't think much of it then I told a friend a joke and I heard someone laugh from over there. I did a quick head count and found everybody nowhere near there. So I ran back over there and saw someone standing there looking at the grave. I walked up to the person and asked if they were ok. All they said was thank you. Then my vision kinda blacked out and I was back where I was when I heard the laugh. I don't if I just imagined the whole thing or what but it was pretty... interesting to say the least. :v:
No ones believed me about it (except for the laugh, my friends heard that too) but I'm trying to go back and place some flowers at that grave or something. I mean, even if I just imagined it, no one wants their grave forgotten.

Well there is many things about my dad's house but I will talk about the first time I encountered anything. My aunt who pretty much specializes in this stuff was visiting, so her, my dad, and I decided to try contacting the ghost. She has this device that lights up when a ghost is nearby and if you try asking a question, it will usually light the box up even more in response usually by one more or the whole thing (The last light is red). Now we were trying to make contact and eventually she asked it if it wanted us to leave, without hesitation the box flickered up to red and I went right back up the stairs with my uncle and my dog. As I talked with him I noticed my dog acting really strange, he started hiding behind my uncle, running up and down the stairs, and smelling everything in the room they were staying in. Finally they came upstairs and we discussed what happened, then my aunt went to open the basement door and found it locked
Outside of a small town in Ohio there is a woods called Holcomb woods with a creeper story.

Very interesting, glad nothing bad happened. It is believed that dogs are hyper-sensitive to things that people that aren't "sensitive" can't see. I myself believe it because in my house my dog will randomly start barking and growling and pacing back and forth and sometimes out of no where snap at me.

The ghost seems very friendly, its never done anything harmful to anyone in the house. I think it just doesn't like us trying to bother him/her
Okay well I guess I'll share a story from my dad's girlfriend. So all her life she's been followed by a spirit. She says it seems as if the spirit protects her and loves her but are aggressive towards males. She was living with a friend on a old farm and her father (that used to be abusive) came to stay with her in her room while she slept with her friend. When he was trying to sleep, the dog started barking. Then he started to hear footsteps in the front of his bed. He was a sceptic, so he went to turn on the lights and the footsteps stopped and the dog chilled out. No big deal right? He turned the lights back off, lie back down, and the footsteps came back. This time he said "Leave me alone, you're not real. You're bullshit." Then a lamp on the table next to him fell over and shattered and a shard of glass cut his arm(that scarred later on) and then he heard a faint whisper saying "relinquere". He then turned the lights back on and all the activity stopped. The next morning his daughter (Not giving names) walked into the room to see the lights on and her father asleep with the dog in his arms. This was weird, because her dad was a tough man. When she asked him about it he explained it all. They went to the library to look up what "relinquere" means.. It means "leave her" in Latin. She never told anyone that he used to beat her. Ever since then the father never entered the same house, even though it wasn't the house. It was her.
I've seen what I think it is. It's like a transparent white mist. I've heard about using boards, they summon demons or something so I've been told. Also, I know this may seem very skeptical to some but my aunt had a camera that sets itself off when something steps in front of it. It managed to get a picture of this, there is also a picture at the same time without something as well
