When you die you will instantly be reborn billions of years in the future, because you have no track of time. Random atoms, molecules and cells will eventually be arranged to fit your consciousness pattern and you will be reincarnated
"Why should I fear death? If I am, death is not. If death is, I am not. Why should I fear that which can only exist when I do not?" - Epicurus
Epicurus is like a one-stop shop for logic and reason.
Well, there's nothing I can do to permanently avoid it, so it's not worth worrying about in my daily life.
I figure it's a lot like before I was born, which to the best of my knowledge wasn't so bad.
The idea of me dieing doesn't scare me at all.. But others that I like dieing, that makes me creep out sometimes.. To think that everyone you like could die tomorrow and you be left alone.. This kind of thinking is something that already makes part of my "daily thoughts".. Can't live a day without thinking about it.. I'd prefer to die today than to live to see others die.. Kinda selfish of me :x
Remember what it was like before you were born?
Exactly.
That's exactly how I look at it.
I'm not scared of death, no matter how painful. What really scares me and everyone else will agree, is dying before getting to try and accomplish a wide variety of interests.
As for after death, shit all. Heaven sounds boring and shit if it exists meaning hell yeah.
I'm more afraid of the pain associated with dying rather than death itself. If there's an afterlife, great. If not, you won't exist to experience its infiniteness, so whatever.
I don't die
The only thing I really fear is that after I die, theres a certain chance I won't remember anything that has happened in this life. I won't remember my friends, my family, my accomplishments really makes me sad. :crying:
I feel that we will never know what happens after death, most say that your just dead, black, end of- but I believe that you are reincarnated as an animal or something else.
I don't want to be reincarnated because then I might be a dieing African child.
All I know is that I'm going to be dead much much longer than I have been alive.
I don't know what will happen when I die, but I do hope somehow everything is explained to me and I become an all-knowing being. I mainly hope this because just thinking about the universe blows my mind in the sense that the ENTIRE universe could be the size of a quark compared to something else. Mainly, I hope that we live our lives like everyday, being able to talk to dead people but not have an effect on anything alive.
Seeing where this conversation is going, I won't even try to explain what happened after I died in the ER after I got shot.
Yes, they brought me back to life. I was legally dead for 1 and a half minutes.
Edit: I'll at least tell you guys it is the most peaceful feeling you will ever have. Every thought just vanishes, and you are at ease, even with people being stressed out around you.
It doesn't freak me out. What scares me a bit is how it will come to me, will it be painful? Will it be horrible? I just don't know, and that scares me.
I am not religious, I do not believe in after life.
The shit thing about the game of life is No one ever wins its always Game over at the end,But the after life (Y)
The only person who wins is the one who pisses on the other's grave while sleeping with their wife.
"Indeed, the very process of construction and creation foreshadow destruction and decay. The palace of today is tomorrow's ruin, the maiden of the morning is the crone of the night, and the hope of a moment is but the foundation stone of everlasting regret."
I'm scared of death and anyone saying that they aren't is a liar.
Well, I'm not scared of death.. I'm scared of dying before I've lived my life but death itself is no problem for me. Energy is never destroyed, it just changes forms; and I'm not religious but I like to think that my life will continue in the world in some way. I do believe in a soul, so I'm hoping it's going somewhere. If not, back into the circle of life.
I find death very comforting, actually.
Eternity is a much scarier concept. Sure I'd like to live longer, but not forever.
It's inevitable, there's no real need to be scared of it. That doesn't mean you shouldn't take precautions to prevent it from happening too soon, though.
anyways its 11:00PM and I'm going to sleep.
I expect this thread to reach 20+ pages by the time I wake up.
Only 8 pages?
I'm impressed.
My View is if youre going to Die. Die Fighting.
Well, i dont really want to die infact i would hate to die, but then there is always the suicide in the world. hmm...
I want to die fighting in a war.
Bugs and worms will enter the casket, consuming your decayed body.
I'm not scared to die, I am scared of how I might die.
As far as i'm concerned death is an illusion. Its dying that im afraid of.

The Way of the Samurai is found in death. Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day, when one's body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears, and swords, being carried away by surging waves, being thrown into the midst of a great fire, being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake, falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease or committing seppuku at the death of one's master. And every day, without fail, one should consider himself as dead. This is the substance of the Way of the Samurai.
That is how I feel about death.
I love you
Good thing my species is immortal.
