;34482942']If I really need to get somewhere quickly. Waltz seems to be a pro at muscle control and does these weird turns that gets me to trains that I'd usually miss. Thankfully I don't really lean back, instead I figuratively keep my hand on his shoulder, ready to pull her back into the pit if he does anything suspicious like start heading for some random pedestrian with greedy eyes and licking my lips.
I'm not going to lie: Allowing Waltz to help you out sounds awesome. And I didn't think you could do that hand-on-shoulder thing. Though, it must be terrible to have to live everyday with such a Psychotic entity in your brain.
What does Waltz think of this thread?
What does Waltz think of this thread?
She thinks you're all a bunch of beta males with no chance of ever getting a girl with class. Also, I'm apparently a total fucking idiot for sharing such personal information on the Internet because there's the 0.5% chance that someone tracks me down and kills me to prevent any massive killing sprees that he would do for me. Waltz is a hilarious :tinfoil:
I'm not going to lie: Allowing Waltz to help you out sounds awesome. And I didn't think you could do that hand-on-shoulder thing. Though, it must be terrible to have to live everyday with such a Psychotic entity in your brain.
It sure sounds awesome, but in reality it's walking on eggshells. Anyway, thanks for the questions. Keep 'em coming, most of them are actually pretty genuine and I have no qualms with answering them. A lot of people seem to mix this with schizophrenia, too, so I guess part of the reason for this thread was to educate people a little about what kind of disorder this actually is. Another part is just to give people a good laugh or something to kill time with. So far I haven't done well in that department, have I now? :v:
Has Waltz ever shown compassion? Also, has this affected your sleeping at all? I.E. Sleeping patterns, dreams, that shit.
;34484036']Also, I'm apparently a total fucking idiot for sharing such personal information on the Internet because there's the 0.5% chance that someone tracks me down and kills me to prevent any massive killing sprees that he would do for me.
Shit, she's on to me.
Have there been any instances were you are glad you have waltz in your head?
Have there been any instances were you are glad you have waltz in your head?
Err, not really. It's way more trouble than good.
Has Waltz ever shown compassion? Also, has this affected your sleeping at all? I.E. Sleeping patterns, dreams, that shit.
I wouldn't say compassion, but she has worried over me a few times.
Shit, she's on to me.
:v: Don't take it seriously, he's a total faggot towards everyone. Even though she means it, it's probably not the truth anyway.
You refer to Waltz as a male and a female, I know you once described it as an 'it' but does it have a dominant gender? Or is it more of a neutral gender? Also, when you do sometimes let Waltz be the dominant personality, do you warn your friends and family? Or take any precautions? Do they recognize 'signs' that Waltz is in control and know how to act or anything like that? I couldn't imagine how hellish living with the depressed personality must have been. I doubt a lot of people would have survived something so... well, negative. And people think a case of the Mondays is bad... I seriously can't fathom how awful it must have been to feel something like that within you, every day. You are awesome for getting past and getting rid of it, I'm glad for you.

Usually it displays itself as a girl in my head but I know that it's just one form it can take. As it doesn't have a definite gender, I change pronouns around. However, I use "she" the most since it's voice is usually female. I don't really need to warn others since I only let it go if nobody is around. I mean absolutely nobody, like if I'm the only one home and I know nobody's coming in for hours, just in case getting back on the driver's seat might cause trouble. Thanks for the kind words, anyway. I appreciate it, really.
Did you ever get scared of Waltz?
How does Waltz pass the time when you let him out. Also, what does her voice sound like? Does it have some echo-y type effect, does it sound demonic?
Did you ever get scared of Waltz?
Erm, I got scared of what would happen if he'd manage to break through and wrest control from my hands. As a personality, though, I never was afraid of him or...let's say I wasn't scared to talk to him or anything, but moreover what she was capable of.
How does Waltz pass the time when you let him out. Also, what does her voice sound like? Does it have some echo-y type effect, does it sound demonic?
There's a slight echo, almost faint, as if you were talking in a room with two chairs and a lamp. Nothing else. Sometimes it sounds like she's whispering right into my ear, but at times it sounds like he's yelling across a continent. Depends on how much I ignore him. Usually she cleans up, organizes things or makes food. Basically it's "survival stuff" because it seriously only cares about killing and gathering food and supplies. Now, because it knows that I'll pull it right back into the deepest abyss I can find in my consciousness in case it tries to kill anyone, it goes for the food and supplies side of surviving. If the apartment can be improved, then that's what she's gonna do. Do the dishes, wash some laundry, cook some food, make a list about food supplies, make sure the door is locked, check the apartment for any potential weapons, make a list about those... I hope that you can get the general idea out of that. Oh, and it likes to watch birds with binoculars. I never understood why.
;34491845']...check the apartment for any potential weapons...
Oh Waltz, you silly bastard.
when you fap do you feel gay
This must be a really horrible thing to have to deal with, though part of me would really like to experience what it feels like, just temporarily. I find this kind of thing really interesting so thanks for sharing!
What does Walts think of your IRL friends? And have your friends ever seen Walts in control? Do they know about Walts? Do they think of you differently because of her?
You said you let Waltz out when you need it get somewhere fast so he is good for something but did the depressing guy do anything else then mope around?
Do you prefer to call it DID or MPD? How much time have you spent with therapists? Do you have amnesia when you switch "personalities"? Is your only ailment your other "personality" or do you have to deal with other symptoms too? Do you know for sure that it's not schizophrenia? :v: Or perhaps telling yourself unconsciously that you have these symptoms and are inadvertently causing them? Like a somatoform but mental. The mind can and often does do strange things that you wouldn't normally expect yourself to do/think, after all. The more I read in this thread, the more Waltz sounds like the personification of an Id. [editline]1st February 2012[/editline]
Is it the same as bipolar?
There's a BIG difference there, buddy, although they can look similar.
would it be theoretically possible to have a therapeut have sessions with waltz to make him a functioning personality too? which would make it possible for you to relax laid back in your mind with him in control when you feel like it.
Waltz will come up with some crazy-ass method that he imagines the therapist would do to kill her.
hey, does it speak to you like in words or is she,he,it talking to you with feelings/emotions or both?
Do you have insomnia? Do you have feelings of hurting someone physically for no reason whatsoever? Are you into pyrotechnics? and most importantly is this what you look like
What's that from?
Fight Club. I recommend you go watch it right now.
Fight Club. I recommend you go watch it right now.
I'll get around to it.
Was it only the depressing one and Waltz in your head, or were there more that you worked out, but we hear about those two because they are (respectively) the worst one and the most persistent one?
who are you BZZT-
when you fap do you feel gay
Why would I ever feel gay? Nope.
This must be a really horrible thing to have to deal with, though part of me would really like to experience what it feels like, just temporarily. I find this kind of thing really interesting so thanks for sharing!
You're welcome. I realize it must seem interesting to some, but it's only interesting so far. After a while it gets annoying, then taxing, then finally you learn to ignore it. Doesn't mean it disappears, but it's a momentary solution.
What does Walts think of your IRL friends? And have your friends ever seen Walts in control? Do they know about Walts? Do they think of you differently because of her?
He thinks badly of every single one and thinks I'd be better off without them since I can't ever 100% trust someone. If I could read everyone's mind, then I could trust people but not now. According to her logic, anyway. Oh wait, that's not logic, that's just silly. :v: Only a few of them know about it and have agreed to stay silent about it unless I'm okay with them telling others about it. They don't think that differently about me since I was already a p. unique person (don't drink, don't smoke, interested in swords and cold places instead of tropic) so it's all cool with them, especially since they know I can control it 99% if the time.
You said you let Waltz out when you need it get somewhere fast so he is good for something but did the depressing guy do anything else then mope around?
The depressing guy never did ANYTHING except make me feel miserable. Even when he made me miserable he'd apologize and say that he's good for nothing. It was like trying to walk in maple syrup, fucking impossible to deal with.
would it be theoretically possible to have a therapeut have sessions with waltz to make him a functioning personality too? which would make it possible for you to relax laid back in your mind with him in control when you feel like it.
Well, uh, that's a good question. I suppose if he/she'd co-operate but seeing that he's not even supposed to be there and therapy's goal is to basically erase her it's understandable she hates all medical care.
Do you prefer to call it DID or MPD? How much time have you spent with therapists? Do you have amnesia when you switch "personalities"? [editline]1st February 2012[/editline] There's a BIG difference there, buddy, although they can look similar.
I don't care which term I use. I go to a 90-minute meeting with a psychologically trained nurse every two weeks. I don't suffer from amnesia since I'm co-conscious with the side personality. So far I've only gotten depression but since the treatment began I've gone a long way so I'm done with that too. Right now yeah, only the personality remains. And no, I trust the professional's diagnosis even if Waltz doesn't. They said I have it so I'm pretty sure I have it. Of course they could be wrong which would be great, but...nope.
Waltz will come up with some crazy-ass method that he imagines the therapist would do to kill her.
:v: Probably, yeah.
hey, does it speak to you like in words or is she,he,it talking to you with feelings/emotions or both? Because when i was younger i had horrible thoughts i could control but they where really scary. like if you walk on a bridge and you feel an urge to throw your cell phone in the water. but these feelings was about hurting some one close to me it tended to come at random times. one time when i was young my friend was over and we where playing some tv games and suddenly i just got that feeling so i would lock my self in the bathroom for a while so it would go away.
That's a good question too. It's both. If either of us is having an extremely strong emotional experience it inevitably affects the other one. It has to be a fairly strong state, though.
Do you have insomnia? Do you have feelings of hurting someone physically for no reason whatsoever? I have some experience with pyrotechnics because I like to play with fire, but I haven't done that shizzle in about a year or so. Feelings for hurting someone physically is more Waltz's speciality.
Was it only the depressing one and Waltz in your head, or were there more that you worked out, but we hear about those two because they are (respectively) the worst one and the most persistent one?
I'm pretty sure they were the only ones which I'm glad about. The more you have is a sign of how destroyed your mental health is. Since I only had two it means I was fairly healthy when comparing to most MPD patients which can have up to 50 personalities. I can't even begin to fathom the shitstorm behind that condition.
Did Waltz and you like different kinds of food?
Yep. It's tastes even affected mine. Nowadays I don't mind having a mouthful of raw meat before frying it. Waltz is like a fucking Neardenthal; raw meat and blood. Maybe mixed with red milk. I personally prefer stuff like lasagne, mykyrokka (a finnish tradition food) and Italian pasta. Nowadays I've also gotten a liking to vegetables. Waltz just goes to the store, buys half a liter of some fucking cow blood, mixes it with perfectly good milk and gulps it down. Personally I find the taste a little too strong, but I've gotten more used to it. See, even if he's in control I can still taste distantly. It's not a great feeling.

It's retarded.
