.44 cause it'll guaranteed stop a grizzly bear.

Is my target armored, or unarmored? If wearing armor, then .44. If not, then .357. I was actually just thinking about what kind of pistol I would buy if I needed to defend myself or needed to take care of some business before reading this thread.

.44, because bigger is always better.

I don't even like revolvers.

.44; Lots of fun to fire. Plus, according to Norwegian gun rules, you have to get a .44 first if you want both a .357 and a .44. That's just the way it is here.

.44 is more powerful, but .357 is cheaper and more practical. So .357 it is.

What's the biggest caliber they make for real (and commonly used) weapons? I know absolutely nothing about guns. Anyway .44 because I watched Dirty Harry for the first time yesterday.
