That's not the first Pokemon Stadium game. It's almost the same shit as Final Fantasy, the first game was only ever released in Japan and it only had like 30 different Pokemons.
When they made the second game, they just went meh. In Japan it's known as Pokemon Stadium 2 but in EU and US, it's Pokemon Stadium.

That game was more like a prototype version of Pokemon Stadium, you only could choose a few pokemon (I think 40/42 out of the 150), and then they launched Stadium which had all of them and was more polished
