i don't, it got a mac in there.
Touhou, so that's what it's called. Yeah, I've heard bits and pieces of it before, I guess I was taken aback by the vocals in this one because it wasn't as...well, without sounding culturally insensitive, whiny.
[editline]9th April 2012[/editline]
Wait shit Touhou is the pop group isn't it.
Touhou is a game series, where one guy is doing both the music, programming, art, etc.
i don't, it got a mac in there.
While I do agree, it's not the main focus of the bloody thing, is it now?
Holy fuck I want it though.

Sell mac, buy PC parts.
What's wrong with a mac besides the price?
What's wrong with a mac besides the price?
They blow for playing games on.
They blow for playing games on.
I can second this. This Mac would've cost $5,000 when it was new (I got it free, it's 5-6 years old now). Awesome CPUs (dual-socket, dual-core Xeons), decent RAM (5GB, fully-buffered, error-correcting), but CRAPPY graphics (Radeon X1900). And you apparently can't upgrade to just any card and have it work in OS X, it needs special EFI firmware.
Oh, and software support sucks. Roughly 25% of my Steam library will run on the Mac, period. Of those, maybe half will run on my particular Mac, most of those being Indie or older Valve titles.
*sigh* I can't wait for my new gaming rig to come in...
Wouldn't mind being in his place.

Apart from bottle-necked parts (particularly with the GPUs, making them bad for gaming) and inferior cooling, the only argument you need is price. They are making a ludicrous amount of profit by selling you an inferior product, when you could just buy a PC. When someone buys a Mac, it is hard to not instantly label them as stupid. There is really no good reason to buy one.
Now, to clarify, I'm not talking about Mac OS. Mac OS is fine and dandy, and few would blame you for choosing it. So long as you saved yourself a couple grand by using it on a Hackintosh.

Sell Mac, buy parts for several PCs and monitors.*

Yeah, I meant the OS
Yeah, I meant the OS
OS X is... weird. Here's my best way to describe it:
There are three types of users - the beginners (grandma), the intermediate (most Facepunchers), and the experts.
Windows works for the beginners and intermediate users, but it doesn't have any features for the experts. A bare-bones scripting system (even *with* Powershell), limited configurability, and quite a few limitations on actual functionality (there's a reason very few supercomputers run Windows).
Linux is made for the intermediate and expert users, but sucks if you don't already know how computers work. Mystical commands, confusing options, inconsistent design, there's a reason you don't give Granny a Slackware disc. But if you know how to use it, you can do crazy shit.
Mac works for the beginners and the experts, but there's no middle ground. If you just want a Facebook and Twitter machine, it's got you covered. It also has most of the tools the experts want - out-of-the-box, it's got full Perl, Python, Ruby and PHP support. But the only way to do some intermediate-skill things is via the command line.
For example, Mac, like Windows, has a "this program was downloaded from the internet, are you sure you want to run it?" idiot prompt. On Windows, you can disable that per-file by clicking a simple "don't ask again" checkbox. On Mac, the only way is a complicated command-line run ('xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine <file>'), and the only way to permanently disable it is another command-line ('defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices LSQuarantine -bool NO').
That's hardly the only example. Essentially, Apple took a powerful but experts-only OS (FreeBSD / NeXTSTEP), then added a very user-friendly but very limited interface to it. So it's good for computer newbies, and it's capable in the hands of an expert, but it's very aggravating for experienced users who don't know, or don't like, the complex expert-only interface.
Thread went from awesome shit to splitting hairs over PC/Mac in just a few posts. Because there was a picture with a Mac in it.
Wow. :v:

A friend of mine has an axolotl. It's transparent so you can actually see the worms that it eats go through its body. It's sickening but bad-ass at the same time.

It's a 1:1 scale blue whale heart that you can climb into.
[editline]15th April 2012[/editline]
If you can't grasp the scale, it's big enough for an average adult male to sit inside. Their arteries are big enough to swim through.
