A late reply but these are called white collar prisons. Things like tiring to steal a car without a weapon will get you in one, how ever, things like murder or assault will get you into plain prison.

There are not very many of these prisons around as far as I know. It can also cost money to go to them instead of normal prison.

A jail is only for sentences under 365 days, prison is for over.
