Didn't they run into problems with the satellite they put up long ago? Something about the data they got back was completely messed up, and they couldn't figure out how to decypher it or something something...
Do you mean the communication between Cassini and Huygens? Yes. They had to slow down if they were to get any data from the surface of Titan due to the two probes communicating on different wavelengths. Half the images were lost I think. But we got this: Also these probes are pretty big: You don't really realize that until you see a human next to one.

I dunno about you guys, but Earth is the best planet I've been to.
For some reason they give me chills
Uncanny valley
The fact that they're bigger makes them seem sort of intimidating.

I think your thinking of galileo which had its main antena not deploy for some reason, so the images had to be routed through a smaller one and so the quality was lost

Somehow that man standing in the street looks faked.

He found a picture from the Civil War (1861-65) of where the school would eventually be built. Then he went, found the exact right spot and camera settings to take the same picture of now. Normally, that would be the coolest, most awesome thing a history teacher would do, but I can honestly say that that didn't even come close to being the best thing he did. Dude was awesome. Imagine if Indiana Jones taught high school. How awesome? He's asked me to never reveal his name online, because at least one of the things he owns is illegal (possibly more - he never did say how that skull chalice came to be his pencil holder). So maybe less Indiana Jones, more Rene Belloq.
Guys, guys, check this out
Somehow that man standing in the street looks faked.
I'm reasonably sure that's because in 1900 they didn't have color photography and had to color the image manually.
Imagine if Indiana Jones taught high school.
Wasn't he a college professor? That's close enough.
Wasn't he a college professor? That's close enough.
Yes, that's why I specified "high" school. Dude was, to use the street term, "straight balling". You know how in every US classroom, there's a small US flag hanging somewhere? Well, he wouldn't take none of that nonsense, not without laughing at it a bit. So next to it he hung a variety of historical artifacts: > A Chinese (PRC) flag > A Soviet flag > A Russian Imperial flag, still with bullet holes in it from the revolution > Framed pictures of Mao Zedong, Vladimir Lenin, and the Glorious Leader, Kim Il Sung > A Slytherin banner (to match his scarf) And he *tried* to hang a Nazi flag, but the administration drew the line at that. So he brought it out for special occasions - he had a photograph of the Army soldier who had captured it, they were using it as a barbershop apron. Oh, and over the door, he had a wrought iron piece, saying "Arbeiten macht frei". And he had a 144mm artillery shell in the back. And a can of Zyklon-B somewhere up front. And he tried every year to let them bring in his Mosin-Nagant... we had to settle for his Shin-gunto sword, which he claimed once belonged to the general who led the Japanese Army at the Rape of Nanking (that's the item he's technically not supposed to have - it was surrendered to the US during the surrender, but was supposed to be returned. Still is supposed to be returned, to the family, hence why he doesn't want his name mentioned - he'd have to give it back, and stop terrorizing the freshmen with it)
Take pictures please
I wish I could, but I graduated from that school a looong time ago. I just checked the school website - no dice on finding any good images. I did find the staff pictures page - he's wearing a pickelhaube. In his official picture. And knowing him, it's an authentic historical artifact.
