just last night i had a very existential epiphany similar to the first part of that.
conclusions:
1.) mortality is painful, annoying, tedious, and confining.
2.) it would be cool to be dr. manhattan so i wouldn't have to put up with this whole "reality is concrete, and you can't experience even 1% of it" bullshit.

I still have those thoughts but have pretty much come to terms with the facts that:
1) they're not hugely useful questions
2) almost everyone formulates them in the same way
3) they're almost certainly never going to be answered
