Do I agree with the social and civil policies of the Soviet Union? Hell no! Do I think that we did ourselves a disservice by letting ourselves go once our only major rival dissolved into it's own internal conflicts? Yes.
It might not seem like an entirely justifiable viewpoint, but I honestly do feel that the degradation of the Soviet Union led to the explosion of the Balkans, the degradation of the American education system, our push towards further manned space exploration, and our strive to be better than any other nation in the world.

Over 600 verb endings stemming from the 6 most common honorific speech levels plus the huge range of idiomatic expressions and context-omitting situations combined with one of the world's fastest speaking rate and a very strong tendency for the natives to slur and merge their pronunciation of syllables together DOES make it one of the hardest languages in the world. If you're a Korean speaker by default then you probably don't realize how complicated your language really is.
