I like how it eventually turns into an ad for a university, haha
Probably old but w/e. It didn't take me going to space to think like this though.

And then they all die because they don't have spacesuits
Good riddance

Didn't even think of that.
Blatantly stolen from Imgur, but I found it interesting.

[B]
So whenever I go to play my games, I equip my character with their armour and it usually comes up with something like this. And it's awesome. She looks baben, she's protected, and she's a lethal killing MACHINE. +50

However, the thing that gets me every time, is the breasts. In. The. Plate. Armour. We get she's a girl. You don't need to separate her boobies and show them off to make me realise that the thing holding my sword and cutting down bitches has a vagina.

“Alright, well this is fantasy! Why can’t we have boob shapes in plate armor?!” Here's why. My frustration has nothing to do with historical inaccuracy and I’m all for imagination and freedom— but I’d like to (very quickly) illustrate this for you. Look at the shape of the blue cups and the green line, think about the form of that on some beautiful ornate plate armor. A female warrior is charging into battle. In the midst of this, she trips! Or is pushed over, or takes a blow to the chest! So long as the force is on the front of her torso it really doesn’t matter for the conclusion: She feels a sharp pain in her chest and hears the cracking of bone! Oh no, what’s gone wrong? Well she doesn’t have time to think about that, because she is now dead.

Her sternum just fractured, take another look at that green line, that’s where all of the pressure from any front impact is going to go because of the shape of the two blue cups made for her breasts. The rest of the armor slides around your body, but because of the two cups for breasts that are often made in fantasy female armors, the pressure point is directly on the sternum. The breasts are not going to stop the force of you falling onto them, and because of that the metal is going to push in and bash you in the sternum. What does a fractured sternum do? Why it goes right into your heart and lungs of course.

"Ok, fine, she we won't show them through the armour. But she should show some cleavage. We want people to know she's a girl" Yeah. A girl that won't live very long because you are literally leaving her heart, lungs and other vital organs wide open just for boobs.

Girls can still look feminine and sexy in armour whilst it still being functional. She may look hot but nobody likes a dead warrior- and if you do, seek help. Boobs aren't everything. (But yes, they're amazing. Time and place people. Sauroman won't stop for titties) Long and short I want my female warrior to be able to live through the battle she's fighting for, instead of (realistically) dying 5 minutes into it because some game designers vote boobs over practicality.

So yeah, long post. I love boobs, I'm all for them, I grew two myself. Just not on my level 60 warrior. Thank you for reading! May many upvotes go to you and your kin.
Sadly the person who put this together didn't take into account the fact that fan service over rides practicality and logic in video games.
Not to mention the mods that make the armor even less life saving.
The chick with the more realistic armour is much sexier than the others too.

Didn't do a great job stitching. Deal with it.

That isn't the whole picture, and Yoko Ono took it. And sold them for quite a bit of money

There's something about exposed cleavage that just really annoys me

You mean exposed cleavage armour? Because that shit's retarded
You mean exposed cleavage armour? Because that shit's retarded
Especially that
Also exposed midriff
(although obvious cleavage shots of a lot of clothing irritate me in games)
LADY ARMOR
You know, it's nice the guy is talking about practical armor and all that, but if they were really trying to realistically portray suits of armor properly they'd look like this;
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/90/Maximilienne-p1000557.jpg/335px-Maximilienne-p1000557.jpg[/t]
and not whatever the last picture is. but no, all ladies need armor that clearly display that they're a woman instead of a warrior.
Have a tropical pigeon.

When you're portraying things in a fantasy universe, as far as armor and weaponry go, you can ignore practicality to a certain degree, but not to the point where you're being completely illogical and silly. You know, cleavage armor and tit cups in plate armor. I've never played a fantasy game where they had medieval style plate armor like you posted, they typically have flamboyant plate armor, like this
[t]http://l2vault.ign.com/C3_Review/115_Hum1_dcrys_majes.jpg[/t]
Females typically have something similar but a majority of the time it's over sexualized non sense.

Even if the plate armor looks flamboyant it still looks practical on almost all male characters in every fantasy game. It is only the female armor that decides to get tit cups and remove half the plate to show some stomach.

I don't disagree. Males always get sort-of-practical armor that looks cool, and females get full-retard silly metal-bikinis.

Started looking at TWD comics again. They're as awesome as I remember.

This is why I really liked ffxi, despite being a japanese game it didn't have shitty impractical armour.
Like let's take the two heavily armoured classes, paladin and dark knight and compare their armor

It's true for pretty much every class, can't think of a single artifact armor(pretty much endgame armor) that doesn't follow this rule.
Even lighter armored like monk.

Their necks are extremely long.

I always remember reading them in colour, its strange how that works. I know they're black and white but my memory adds colour.

This is what we need to see more of in games. I am so tired of looking like a slut when I'm trying to be a damn warrior or what ever in every damn game.
