When I asked him what he wants to do as a career he said he wants to be a "professional game design painter" which I presume he meant concept artist. I was messing around a few days ago near him trying to draw and shade some cubes and other shapes on top of a draped cloth. He was baffled that I would be doing this sort of thing. I asked why and he was like "oh well you don't even need to do that stuff if you want to be an artist, just start drawing people and stuff!" I just sort of stopped paying attention to what he said after that.

i am such a shitty skater. i've been skating since last april, so a good 7-8 months, and i cannot ollie for the life of me. i thought i was ready to try to learn them rolling since i was landing them every third or fourth try, and i spent half an hour today looking like a fucking idiot. i could hardly get the board off the ground, i don't know what the hell went wrong but suddenly I can't do it anymore? it definitely is my back foot. i can bring my front foot as high as i need but my back foot REFUSES TO LIFT MORE THAN A FEW INCHES OFF THE GROUND, when i need it to go really high in order for it to be an ollie, not a fucking tap.

It took me a long time to get a consistent standing ollie. I still fuck up on rolling ones. Just keep trying. Eventually you'll get it right and you'll realize what movements you need to make with your feet. It's just muscle memory. I hate this 3 day week with thanksgiving. It's nice, but I havent had homework in like 2 weeks, and now all the teachers are catching up. 2 english papers, an algebra 2 test, and a chemistry test all tomorrow. Fucking, why.

I'm sure this has been said but I hate it when people walk slowly in front of me in a public place and I can't get around them. Especially if I'm walking with someone else. You feel awkward trying to nudge by, but you hate having to walk at their snail's pace. If people would be more considerate and just look behind them when they walk slow to make sure they aren't obstructing the path of other people, this wouldn't be a problem.
