Rented Quantum Of Solace so I could go see Skyfall, and about 3 minute in, it's very clear that I can't understand about 80% of the words that are being said, because they talk really fast in an accent. So, I try to turn on subtitles, but my father declares that they are annoying, and takes the remote from me, and turns off subtitles, I had to leave, because I'm not going to watch a fucking film if I can't understand anyone. Now I have to fucking rent it again on my own and watch it. Fuck.

People who talk like they can act, but really can't. I know it's a small thing to get mad about, but it just pisses me off, as well as people who act like they can sing but can't. Maybe it's just because I can act/sing and seeing them act cockier than me when they're worse than me is what's pissing me off, but I just have a hard time not flipping out at them.

Alright here we go, my turn for a rant: The lead guitarist in my/our/the band is being really stubborn and it's bloody annoying. We are a metal/ hard rock band by origin (very much influenced by Alter Bridge, Creed and Tremonti in general, as well as stuff like Rise Against (between RPM and Sufferer albums), GNR, Iron Maiden and other older stuff) but he doesn't seem to understand that we need to play more than just this harder genre in order to get gigs. I mean, it's all fine to make songs and we have a recording coming up for them, but we need gigs to advertise our music! I mean, sure, stay as a rock group, but mix it up. Play a couple harder songs, older songs and other stuff that he doesn't necessarily like. I REALLY don't understand this, but he refuses to play things like Motivation by Sum 41. That stuff is popular with a lot of teens like us. If we learnt songs that appeal to a wider audience we could be getting gigs at parties etc, where we could ask permission to sell EPs there and get dosh and popularity in the local region. We aren't asking him to play Katy Perry or something. Damnit it, we can build our bands reputation as a distinct genre if we get famous (unlikely), but now we need money to get it. I feel like asking him: "Would you rather work in this Herb Farm or do gigs and play with the band?" Yes he works in a herb farm. When we were discussing band names, I was really the only one against the name Precedence, so he said 'it should be a democracy, so you are outvoted'. But when everyone wants to play Motivation, "Nope, democracy is only for small things like the name" TL;DR Lead Guitarist is being stubborn and his idea of democracy is bs
