When something happens on the news and suddenly people get all cynical and prophesy the end of the human race as we know it. Seriously, it's the same stupid copy+paste "What HAS THIS WORLD COME TO!?!" There are other places where this happens every day, it's just that it hits close to home this time and it was brought to media attention. Someone shot up a school and his family. It was an isolated case that doesn't happen every day, at least in the first world. While I'm not against mourning the deaths of those lost and not downplaying this tragedy, I'm against using it as fuel for cynicism. It's shocking, yes, but it's not going to bring about the end of the human race or even change a hell lot of anything. Maybe laws will change, but mostly everyone who talks about it in this light weren't closely related to the incident at all. "The world has changed." No, it fucking hasn't. That's the most inane bullshit I've ever heard. The entire world wasn't shaken by this event, it wasn't insanely monumental. That phrase is so hackneyed and butchered I can't bear to hear it. Goddamn, it's always used by the same kind of people who feign or arrogantly publicize their support for good causes to make themselves look better.

What gets me mad? The school shooting that happened today. I feel like punching a hole in the wall.

My Grandad just died in hospital after breaking his hip 2 weeks ago. The thing that makes me mad is that because I thought it was coming for so long, I didn't really feel sad when I got told. I really think I should be crying my fucking eyes out because one of the best people I knew is dead and instead i'm just sitting here like nothing has happened an I feel like a dick.

First my school goes into lockdown due to a shooting in a house that happened, then a fucking mass murder, and ages ago at my primary school some guy with a blue mohawk was running around with an ancient dagger poking the windows, and then the next day after that we came to school to find hundreds of kitchen knives and swords lying around on the grass.

the fucking english curriculum at my school like every year essays and work is always just artificially more difficult like "Now tell us his reasoning for opening the blue door, BUT IN DEEPER LANGUAGE" what the fuck is that supposed to mean why the fuck couldn't I have done that 3 years ago at least in math we actually learn every year also teachers checking work and giving me shit for not doing it shit I can tell you exactly how to do them right the fuck now YEAH I GET IT but they have to check so that they know you understand it which undermines the purpose of tests which arbitrarily limit you already oh my god I'm just so fucking angry right now

i have to do some english project for a holocaust book we read.. some chick did a short video on it, with slides and shit, and i kind of want to do something similar to that but i also don't want to be a dick and totally jack her idea... but i don't want to fucking present, and she got to sit down while her video played and i was totally jealous. depending on what you do, you normally have to stand up in front of the class and talk. i was gonna use some 30stm song, but the first words of the one in particular that i want to use are something like "until you live, until you burn", and it's about the holocaust.. sooo i think i need a new song?? i mainly listen to rap/hip hop although i know a few rock/metal bands.. 30 seconds to mars is my main choice though since they normally don't curse in their songs i don't think, and doing something cheesy like evanscence or whatever is not happening. three days grace maybe? fucking whatever, i hate doing projects that requires you to present.

Or I should say lack of gun laws. That country needs to stop trusting the general public with guns and then wonder why everyone is killing eachother.

Why? Black market. Stealing. And other illegal means to obtain a gun without a license. Obviously there are still a handful of fatal gunshots here and there but mostly gang related or domestic violence. Our registration laws mean that anyone that buys a gun must be licensed to own a gun. If you buy it off a black market and murder someone, they can trace the gun/ammunition back to the person that originally bought it with a license and arrest them. You can't say that laws wont do anything to decrease gun violence.
