How can you be going to college and be forced to go to things? fuck man your parents suck, since I was like 14 my parents would ask me if I wanted to go to something and If I said no that was the end of it, even if they wanted me to go they were never gonna force me. [editline]10th October 2012[/editline] Is your dad really strong enough to beat you anymore anyway?
I don't really know, but I always get that feeling he would. I hate London, it's way too busy for me.
i've got this "friend" who annoys me pretty much constantly, he's really condescending and always complains about things like the way people talk, what people wear, etc. he'll automatically comment on everything he dislikes and point out everything wrong with what i'm doing, making me feel stupid. one time, he imitated another one of my friends on her facebook account, who i shared some of my thoughts with (i wont go into detail), and the next day at school made subtle references to things i said in the conversation, and just had this smug look on his face, as if to say "how the fuck could you be so stupid" because of this i feel really hesitant to express myself. i write poetry and throw it out, i refuse to respond when people ask me personal questions, i feel stupid talking about my feelings because i feel like hes somehow involved and will somehow find out and will just give me hell for it. people keep insulting me for being so shy all the time. i want to explain the situation but i feel way too intimidated. it's becoming unbearable. how am i supposed to muster the courage to stand up for myself?
by simple doing it. you might be afraid of what people think of you, but you got to realize that it doesn't matter what others think. listen, you should be able to do whatever you feel like, without being afraid of what others will say. if they don't like you, fine then don't hangout with them. you should accept yourself before others will do the same. don't worry about whose your friend and whose not, it will be easy to see who actually accepts you and who are just hanging out with you because you're the best that they got. speak your mind and stop thinking too much about other people. What /b/rother said youre actually making it seem harder than it is
you should stand up for yourself as well, bro.
Nearly most of the stuff I owned originally got sold when I didn't want to do it. They're wanting to sell my PC.
What /b/rother said youre actually making it seem harder than it is
i remember this one kid from a few years back, who just kept taking all the shit everyone threw at him. it wasn't too bad in the beginning, but it evolved pretty quickly when everyone realized the he never talked back and just took whatever beating someone wanted to give him. he had been in my class for two months, and over the course of those two months he had become the most quiet kid in the whole class. he would barely answer you, when you asked him something and he avoided everyone because he was actually scared of other kids. that dude should have stood up for himself on day one, and kicked the skull in on some of those assholes who beat him.
can they legitimately sell your pc? fight back, take their car keys, so that they can't go either.
Gonna have to put up with it. They still keep wondering why I get headaches.
Gonna have to put up with it.
i actually doubt that you do. go tell them that you're old enough to do whatever you like, and that you won't let them ruin your day.
i actually doubt that you do. go tell them that you're old enough to do whatever you like, and that you won't let them ruin your day.
16. I'm nowhere near 18.
ever tried confronting them about their bullshit?
ever tried confronting them about their bullshit?
Many times, neither changes their mind. My family is insane then.
16. I'm nowhere near 18.
i'm sixteen as well, but i never let my parents buzz me around like that. it's your life, so why waste it by comforting your parents? [editline]10th October 2012[/editline]
Many times, neither changes their mind. My family is insane then.
don't tell me that there's nothing you can do. show them that you're old enough to have your own plans and that they should allow you to do what you would like the most.
Have you tried saying "I don't want to do that on my birthday"? In a way that doesn't sound ungrateful perhaps
my whole body is aching, because i felt the need to get really drunk last night and then go longboard.
Have you tried saying "I don't want to do that on my birthday"? In a way that doesn't sound ungrateful perhaps
Anything I say leads to a "Well tough".
VPN's piss me the fuck off. I want to get dishonored now and not have to wait two more goddamn days. I thought it would be simple. Just download a program enter an IP and hit enter. Oh so wrong I was. I have been spending so much time with this "Openvpn" program and I am having a headache already trying to make it connect. I get the same error message over and over. Says there is some file missing "Client.crt" I put the error message into google, but no results related to my problems showed up. Fuck
The fact that my I.T Teacher didn't know what .png is.
And I thought my IT teacher was bad
My IT teacher is convinced that you can't edit jpegs, websites run from special modems, and nVidia and GeForce are separate entities.
How maths in school is just them teaching you how to answer an exam (in the UK) all of the remotely useful stuff was taught roughly in a week when you enter year 7 and the rest is the teacher asking if timmy has 70 apples how much diarrhea does suzy have on a tuesday I got my C, and now I can just forget all about it but it still annoys me

The problem is that you aren't there to learn the subjects, you are there to pass exams. What do the teachers care if you have no interest in maths once you finish school? So long as their pass statistics don't get them into trouble, they're happy.
School in the UK, and I guess in a lot of places now, is mostly just learning to remember set answers for exams. It's not fair but that's how it is.
School in the UK, and I guess in a lot of places now, is mostly just learning to remember set answers for exams. It's not fair but that's how it is.
Hooray for people like me who have an incredibly shitty memory.
Hooray for people like me who have an incredibly shitty memory.
Hooray for people like me who suffer from terrible hayfever during the summer, when all the tests took place.
Hooray for people like me who suffer from terrible hayfever during the summer, when all the tests took place.
I know the feeling, same here. Doing a test and then, nope. You keep leaking snot (well, the super liquified version of it) Just gotta bring a paper roll with you.

Luckily I got an injection for it at the beginning of the season and the symptoms were so much weaker. [editline]10th October 2012[/editline] Another problem with the exams is that they don't reward creativity very well, even in something like creative writing you're just trying to tick off a bunch of criteria. For me it was easy to go off on a tangent and this usually resulted in me losing a ton of marks because I wasn't answering the question (but I was answering questions that the question created). Also, schools only really care about the grades you get because it makes them look bad if you do badly. They don't care if you learn anything from it.
I took Calculus in math during high school. I'm still terrible at math even though my major is mostly about math. Fuck math.
-snip-
I really need a job, but I live in such a godamn tiny place there's barely anything. And uh, one place I did see that had a job opening, is the baker's, but... this sounds stupid... but highschoolers go there for lunch, and I am honestly terrified of them. :v: Fuck.
Just came back from the doctor and there is a possibility I have a brain tumor...
Shit man, best of wishes to you. I really hope you don't have a brain tumor.
