My dad found out I got shit grades for this quarter, and he takes away all my stuff Its not the fact he took my stuff that gets me mad What gets me mad is there is no point in taking my shit away, because at the end of the year, my grades are always risen, even when I have my shit. Besides, I don't even think he realizes I play games to have a break from school. I have to go to school for eight hours 24/5, how is it a good idea to take away the shit I use to get a break from it? I don't think he'd feel great to come home in the morning from work to find out he can't have free time after work.

I'm really getting pissed off trying to find a job. I'm willing to work, and do it right, but nobody is willing to hire me. I get the feeling that it's because I got shit grades and I'm too young to do anything important. It's not like I wanted to get denied a place at my college. I sure as hell didn't want to only be told about that two days before I was due to start, when nobody else would take me on. So now somehow I've gotta figure out a way to pull £30 out of my ass every week for two years. Big fucking whoop.

Yeah, that's all well and good if you're 18. Just like the jobcentre. And all the other benefits and help shit that the government promises us. I'm only 16 right now, and because I'm no longer in full time education they've cut all of my family's benefits and ramped up our rent, as now I'm (supposedly) capable of working.

Yep, there is only one in the area, and they were the ones that binned my application at the last minute, which is pretty much the reason I'm in this mess right now. I've tried actual colleges and the like up and down the place but nobody will take me because of my grades, and how late into the year it is now.

Have you got a C.V made up? If so, it's christmas season soon and a lot of shops will be hiring. Print out some copies of your C.V and a covering letter (not compulsory but preferred) and take them around some stores. Grades aren't the be all and end all so don't worry about them in the long run, I know it'll seem bad at the moment but when you're older no one cares about GCSEs. The position you're in at the moment you just need to find anything you can to get experience, obviously money would be preferable but you may need to be prepared to work for free before you can find a job that will pay. You're old enough to babysit as well if you need to make money, it's not regular pay but it helps. Do you have an idea of what career you want to go into when you're older? That will definitely help.

I've already dropped my CV into a bunch of stores about the place. Nobody has replied to me after a few weeks, but there are still some places about. I really don't give a damn what I do as long as it pays, I just need a foothold for the minute to help pay the bills and such.

I am eligible for college, there just aren't any within a reasonable distance that'll take me with my shite grades and school record, this late into the year. I wasn't told early enough on that I couldn't get into my schools's sixth form to make an effective contingency, which totally fucked up all of my plans for the next few years. It's really fucking annoying because I had everything sorted out and squared away until they sent me a letter two days or so before I was due to start saying 'lolno you can't come here sry skrub'. It's good that you've got a C.V and have given it in to places, I went on a 2 day course on friday and monday so some stuff is still fresh in my mind if you have any questions. The quality of the C.V is really important though, did you get help from anyone when you made it?

Yeah, I made it in school with some help from some careers people, and got my parents to check it over and spruce it up a little, I think it should be pretty good for what it is, although it's not exactly impressive to say the least.
