I plugged an ethernet cable in my laptop because loading was slow-ish for me. And when I did, it was totally worse. Why?

I bought new headphones because my previous one was so bad. It hurt on my ears and the sound was fairly mediocre. Unfortunately it still hurts my ears, although the sound quality is superb.

Going to copy and paste this from a facebook chat because I'm too angry to form coherent thoughts and type it again, so sorry if it seems a little off. i'm pissed i finally have a 3 day weekend and i was going to use it to get caught up in some of my classes and then relax but no, my parents feel like dragging me to arkansas for a football game. 10 hour drive tomorrow, game on saturday, 10 hour drive back on sunday. I even told them I want to stay so i can work on stuff, and they said no we already bought you the ticket so you can't stay (they never even fuckin asked if i want to go, which obviously i don't) so i said whatever even though you guys wanted me to get good grades this year i guess that's out the window because you want to force me to go to a football game then they said well if you want to work on stuff then we'll leave you in the hotel to work on saturday... fucking WHAT?! their whole argument was that they already bought me the ticket, so their solution is to drive me 10 hours there so i can work and not even use my ticket. fucking parent logic (the girl I'm talking to tells me maybe they're just scared i'll throw a party or have girls over) it's not even that, they're really fucking controlling my dad just came in and said "if your homework was really that important, you would have been working on it already" okay, sorry my teachers didn't give me the homework for the weekend a week before everyone else that makes fuckin sense, dad. thanks for that insight. i'm seriously thinking about going to my friends house in the middle of the night so my parents will wake up and i won't be there (she tells me that might scare them) I don't want them to think they can get away with this sorta shit either at this point I don't care if I scare them (she asks if I could just ask them to stay at a friends house) that'll just piss them off even more, they're pretty set on it when my dad came in he tried to play it off as "we won't get to see you a lot because you're growing up so we just want to spend time with you" haha i'm not that fucking stupid you're just trying to guilt trip me into going
