So I cleaned my room for the first time in a [i]long[/i] time, and in the process, I took the air pump from my aquarium (which I had gotten for free from someone who didn't want it), and I opened it up, and fixed it.
For like 3 months I'd had the aquarium, and that pump had been [i]loud as fuck[/i]. Now I fixed it and not only is it quiet as a mouse, I realize that it hasn't been pumping air since I got the damn aquarium!
No wonder my fish were so lethargic.
I'm thinking I have to go work a manual register tomorrow and the idea that I might screw up or anger someone by taking too long is preventing my from sleeping. I hate that register, and I didn't do well even when being coached through it. I can't stop worrying that I'm going to fail. Oh, and if you mess up the wrong way it'll bug out and show every order as "Coca-cola", and the whole thing needs to be reconfigured again.
Basically the way it works is off several menus for the item, size of the item, and how many. The menus are up to 3 pages long and the products are in a completely random order not organised at all. Then there is the packaging which is also confusing if you aren't familiar with the boxes.
I can't stop worrying that I'll make people wait too long while I try to find their product somewhere on the 3-page list, or I'll press the wrong button and fuck up the computer :frown:
