Skullgirls came out on the PS4 for NA like a week or so ago.
Oh shit, last I checked I heard it was a while out. :v:
Wildstar's pulled me away from my consoles for a while.
I play Skullgirls and MK9 fine with just a 360 controller. Honestly, a fightstick just looks really awkward to me.
It's not like you can't play them with a regular controller, it can just be generally better with a fightstick since the arcade stick is much more accurate than a regular analogue stick, and especially more accurate than the 360's crappy dpad
Fightsticks aren't really awkward to use though with most fighters, especially since they are often designed with fightsticks in mind first rather than just controllers. The only fighters I've played that I don't feel are hampered at all with a regular controller were Persona 4 Arena and Smash

It's more just the ergonomics of the fight stick itself that looks awkward to me.

It's not much different than typing on a keyboard as far as button inputs go so unless you find that really uncomfortable.
and the actual stick you can pretty much hold it however you feel most comfortable, I kinda hold mine like a wine glass and it works great for me

It personally looks nice to me because it's closer to a keyboard.
That and the long stick looks nice compared to a standard joystick, and the clicky-bits (tm) seem like it'd be better over a d-pad for me.

Hai Kiwi :3
Hi
hello
I'd get a fight stick but I only really play Skullgirls and now MKX. It's not a high priority peripheral for me I guess :v:

I honestly only really prefer keyboard and mouse controls for FPS games and strategy games, actually. Other stuff I find more comfortable to use a controller with.
I never knew until recently that this was an emote :plsunderstand:
I still miss Iwata

It's still different to a keyboard, especially depending on the kinda parts you get with it
My fightstick has sanwa buttons, so they're extra sensitive. You only need to lightly tap them to get them to do what you want, and since they're curved to your hand it's easy to just jump your fingers around to hit the inputs you want

bonsoir
Going to make a Guy Manuel helmet out of cardstock because I've been wanting to find a reason to wear my leather jacket.
So I just finished beating Mirror's Edge's story mode.
Damn, it's near impossible to disarm those SWAT guys without them trying to beat your head in.

Well it's not like I'm looking for a 1-to-1 keyboard, I just think that for a fighting game the idea of using my fingers would be more comfortable than using my thumb. Plus the idea of not having to move your thumb from button to button, but just placing your fingers on them.
I'm going to be Agent 47 from Hitman for halloween.
I just need to figure out how I'm going to do the barcode on a baldcap
And, just to be clear, I'm not trying to say you shouldn't enjoy playing with a controller, just giving my thoughts as to why I want to get a stick :v:
Wish I had a fight stick :c
You can always fight my stick

I don't know what I want to be this Halloween. Hopefully I'll have money by then to afford a costume.
aaa my HM high scores are getting REAL FUCKIN HIGH now maybe i can get first on a level at some point?
I haven't done a costume for Halloween in like... 7 years...
:c
every year i say "i'm gonna be jacket from HM for halloween" but i never actually get around to it
I'm not gonna trick or treat any more, I haven't since I was like 14 and my voice cracked while asking for candy and I just thought "Y'know, this is awkward as fuck and I don't even really like it that much"
Oh I haven't been to Halloween since forever.
I would do more costume stuff, but I need to lose weight so I don't look so fucking ridiculous.
OK. It's time to find out where you people really stand.
Who here is anti-skub, and who here is pro-skub?
