You can't expect to go without Flash yet. We're still, in all likelihood, a few years before the most common browsers have good enough HTML5 support and the websites actually have a reason to spend the money/time to switch over.

I'm really not looking forward to this next week. Wednesday through Monday my family will be out of town so I have to be up by 7am to deal with my mom's chickens. This really isn't conducive with my insomnia which tends to result in a cyclical sleep schedule meaning I'm going to have to stay up all night or wake up really early (meaning only a few hours of sleep) for that time period.

This doesn't make Flash any less awful and it doesn't mean I have to go to or support any sites that still insist on using it

The problem is a lot of sites have a "don't fix what isn't broken" mentality which is why I think Flash will still be around for some time to come (if we truly ever do switch away from it entirely).
